The Polish Press Agency forged a historical testimony, manipulating to remove the uncomfortable facts for Ukrainians.
Wanda Felicia Lurie (1911-1989), was a remarkable witness to history. It was called Polish Niobe. On 5 August 1944, Wanda was 8 months pregnant, and together with 3 children and hundreds of residents of the surrounding houses, she was driven to the premises of the “Ursus” factory. There, Germany (but not only due to the fact that Ukrainians too) committed mass genocide crimes, among the killed were besides 3 small children Wanda Lurie and her brother. Wanda herself, the bullet hit her in the neck, went through the lower part of her skull, and came out through her right cheek, knocking out any teeth. During the killing, she received 3 shots – both legs. Pregnant Wanda hit a bunch of dead bodies. In the evening, a German soldier looking for valuables stood on Wanda's body, damaging his left ankle and breaking his collarbone. Her watch was taken from her hand. Wanda Lurie lay among Polish dead people for 3 days. erstwhile she realized that the kid she was carrying was alive, she decided to save herself. After reaching the street, she was again captured and driven to the church of St. Stanislaus Bishop, where there was a transitional camp. From there she was transported to a camp in Pruszków. A fewer days later, she gave birth to the boy of Mścisław.
Her evidence is included in the files of the Regional Commission for the Investigation of German Crimes (OCZBN) in Warsaw (now IPN resources), the acts of the Nuremberg Process and the files of the German trials of Heinz Reinefarth. These statements are widely known and published in various publications. They can besides be found online.
Lately, Wanda Felicia Luri's evidence was cited by PAP. However, employees of the Polish Press Agency removed uncomfortable facts concerning Ukrainian participation. In an article controlled by the government, the ‘Ukrainians’ average was replaced with ‘Germans’ and ‘Ukrainians’ as ‘perpetrator’.
‘I begged the Germans around us, To save the children and me, 1 of them asked if I could buy out. I gave him 3 gold rings. Having taken this, he wanted to escort me away, but the German executioner – an officer-gendarm who noted it, did not let and ordered me to join the group intended for the shooting, I started begging him for the lives of his children and mine, I spoke about the honor of the officer. But he pushed me away, so that I fell over" - we read in PAP's text. However, the first text begins with the sentence: "I begged the Ukrainians around usTo save the children and me, 1 of them asked if I could redeem myself.”
It's not the only PAP manipulation. ‘At any point, the torturer behind us He shot his eldest boy in the back of the head, the next shots hit the younger children and me." However, the first reads: ‘At any point a Ukrainian standing behind us shot the oldest boy in the back of the head, the next shots hit the younger children and me.”
The Polish Press Agency is the only state news agency in our country. All the more excruciating is the manipulation. The past of our nation is clearly and brazenly falsified. At the same time, illegal censorship closes the mouth to independent centres of political thought (which is experienced regular by Think Poland). Everything would have become a false story, as it has already happened, a master of false politics.
