Stanowski: “PO made Mentzen a key chain. Trezaskovsky's masterpiece, Mentzen's compromise”

On the last simple presidential campaign, the Civic Platform played an action that could go to past as a mastery political trolling. Sławomir Mentzen, 1 of the leaders of the Confederate, known for his harsh criticism of the Platform and its values, was drawn into a media trap that Krzysztof Stanowski described without mercy: “The platform made Mentzen a key chain”.

“Lager or Wheat?” – means political trap

The gathering in Toruń looked innocent – 2 politicians, 1 beer, smiles, photos. But for the Civic Platform it was a PR masterpiece. For Mentzen – an image face.

Stanowski comments mercilessly:

“How to become a meme in 1 day – specified lectures will shortly be available to the current memes specialist, Sławomir Mentzen.”

“It turned out that he might disagree with the Platform in nothing, he may actually see traitors and thieves on the Platform, but 1 cannot refuse it: beer.”
“When individual tells Mentzen that you can have a beer with him, he does not ask why? He doesn't ask if he should? He doesn't ask if he's going to become a run gadget? He asks: lager or wheat?”

Trzaskowski not only gained the face of dialog – he besides gained the face of his opponent on his own materials. Just 1 beer and 1 picture.

Nawrocks – first ignored, then humiliated

A fewer days earlier, Sławomir Mentzen led a live 1 to whom he invited Karol Nawrocki – a candidate supported by the PiS camp. The conversation was tense. Mentzen treated him in advance, pointing out that “he does not intend to support anyone due to the fact that they are all worthy.”

"Mentzen translations are childish. If individual thinks you can have a beer with a political opponent at the end of the run and not bear the consequences, then he is simply unfit for politics.”

Mentzen, who was expected to be an alternative, ended up as a tool. With 1 beer, he opened the platform door to the Toruń electorate, and himself... he was left with an empty trunk and an ironic grin of media.
