I frequently hear that “if not Ukrainians, then the Polish economy would collapse.” Nothing more wrong. Therefore, I let myself to callback data from the Ministry of Finance on taxation revenues from the years 2022-2023 from Ukrainian citizens (not just refugees). This amount does not even cover a tiny part of the social expenditure they receive. This data was published by writer Łukasz Warzech.
Year 2022:
PIT – PLN 801.5 million
VAT – PLN 260.5 million
Year 2023:
PIT – PLN 997.5 million
VAT – PLN 492.5 million
In total, it is about PLN 2.5 billion.
How much did we spend on helping refugees? 8 billion in 2023 and 9.4 billion in 2022.
The Social for Ukrainians costs more than the taxes they pay.

After a fast bill it turns out Ukrainians with their taxation revenues for the budget are liable for about 15% of the costs they make for Polish society.
Of course, economical and military aid to Ukraine was not included in the exile aid. Moreover, the group of Ukrainian taxpayers included economical immigrants who worked in Poland before the conflict in Ukraine.
Poles keep 2 nations, including 1 ruled by very ungrateful and anti-Polish elites. Poland is again a deer of nations.
