Since 13. Last December we have a fresh government in Poland with new-old Prime Minister Tuski. There's a lot to talk about how the government is doing. I had no illusions that the return of any coalition with the PO at the head would be something worse than the Kaczyński party's rule, and yet the operation of the fresh cabinet is something extraordinary to me. And the interesting thing is, they don't seem to be hurting the head of government. 1 can get the impression that after taking a breath of relief from the power of the Law and Justice, a large part of society is inactive satisfied with the change of power. I can't realize it, but I'm trying. I will share my view of this with readers.
There's no taste left
Rafał Ziemkiewicz late stated that the electorate Tuska does not know what precisely specified a terrible PiS did. But he remembers his emotions. This is simply a rerun from 2007, erstwhile all opponents of the outgoing government of Jarosław Kaczyński associated with a "hearty atmosphere". I guess the editor of RAZ is right. This reminds me of an old gag (and I utilized to read books with jokes and remember many of them, now there is no trace left). It sounded like this:
“Two good friends meet by accident in the city. 1 says:
- I'm sorry. We gotta make an appointment with you or with us. Something's broken, and we've seen each another all week.
- Yeah, right. – answers the second, but without enthusiasm. The first 1 pulls his tongue.
- I'm sorry. But what's wrong? You can tell me.
- I'm sorry. You know, after your last visit, my wife and I discovered that we had lost 500 gold. He confessed to the second.
- I'm sorry. You don't think it's us? The second calms him (specifically):
- I'm sorry. No, no. The money's here. Only specified a taste remained.”
The Citizen Platform Voter differs from the another man from the quoted joke. He wouldn't be peculiarly affected by the Law and Justice. possibly he could complain more about costly and mundane things. However, he mainly does something else: he avenges the assassination of free courts, free media, women's rights. In many cases, too, many of which were created from nothing or almost nothing, but the effect the media achieved by threatening further assassinations remained. Everything the erstwhile squad did wasn't inept, unthinkable, stupid. It was just wrong. That concludes the discussion. The removal of Kaczyński and the company from power was an end in itself. Nothing worse can happen in Polish politics than their further governments or their return to power.
Of course, the Government of the United Right should be credited for circumventing the procedures, pushing the laws with a ‘collan’, disrespecting the Rules of the Sejm, general arrogance and shoe, circumventing and stringing regulations. It all happened. It is besides worth adding absolute opposition to criticism and reluctance to change course unless influenced by abroad factors. However, the top mockery of the law took place during Covid-19, erstwhile civilian liberties were restricted without the introduction of a state of emergency, changes in law were announced at press conferences before actual regulations and specialities were prepared. At that time, however, Grzegorz Braun, who was hard to fishy of being a typical of the “anti-Pistol”, appealed to the public most. Legally ambiguous issues, and sometimes completely legal, active incitement of the public, the announcement of the end of democracy, etc., and erstwhile the law was broken (less or as extraordinary as described) – silence. The "total opposition" stood on the same side as the hated government, sometimes even accusing him of insufficiently murderous approach to the subject of the pandemic.
The media that threatened PiS abruptly began to scare Covid with him. In a situation where criticism would be most appropriate, she was not. The Government of the United Right, going in a akin direction to Western European countries in terms of sharpening, giving money to fat millions of vaccine producers and threatening their citizens side by side with the governments of France, Germany and Austria, avoided another wave of outrage, force and accusations. Of the parties represented in the Polish parliament at the time, only the Confederate broke out of rhetoric explaining that any obstruction, lockdown and vaccination were necessary. However, as it turned out, this did not peculiarly affect the results of the fresh elections to parliament and senate. The government of the “smiling Poland” society was formed, not the government of the Law and Justice organization at the grace of the Confederate, as prof. Antoni Dudek foretold.
Of course, it would be naive to think that the behaviour of politicians during Covid-19 is the only thing that voters will justice and that the sharpenings abolished 1 and a half years before the 15.10.23 elections will have a decisive impact on the voters' decisions. It has decided as always what we can be told right before the vote. What we want and we can believe.
Long after the election
Of course, the run campaign is simply a campaign, but it has been 9 months since the establishment of the Tusk government and it is not visible that it will fall. However, interior friction and evident actions for the Prime Minister's "eating of appetizers" are incapable to convince the coalitions of a extremist decision to leave the government by 1 of the coalitions and to deprive themselves of the "tables". The situation is somewhat more hard for the opposition than it was after the 2015 election. PO politicians could number on “the street and abroad”. The Law and Justice Government was under force from EU bodies, people were rather many in the CODE manifestations (at least at the beginning), and media (anti-governments) kept government opponents in a constant sense of threat to the end of democracy, the regulation of law, the imagination of a spiritual state. But that was not enough. PiS won the 2019 election with a much better consequence and already despite the little favorable distribution of votes (in 2015 the Left was under the threshold with over 7% of support, the KORWIN organization with more than 4% and the organization Together with about 3%) retained the seismic majority minimally losing in the Senate. Of course, all the pressures had any effect. president Duda vetoed 2 of the 3 laws reforming the judiciary, but the government besides softened the amendment of the IPN Act. There was not much success in specified matters. A capitalist policy towards the EU is simply a separate story.
Nevertheless, I did not think at the time, and even more so now, that "PiS, PO – 1 evil". For 9 months of Donald Tusk's fresh government, I became convinced that we had chosen badly (as a general voter. I presume that readers of nationalists.net do not belong to the electorate of the parties forming this fresh government.), but I did not anticipate to hear the results of the election that it would be specified a bad choice. Don't get me wrong. I expected the advantage of PR plays on the subject, I expected a distraction, I expected to calm down in speeches, and after quietly moving distant from all projects that could pay Poland in the long word (CPK is the most clear example), I even expected any legal changes or attempts on issues specified as partnerships or liberalisation of the life protection bill towards any partial admissibility of the alleged abortion. I even expected a rhetoric like "PiS was a denial of democracy" and of the request for accountability. Even any show arrests I expected, but I was naive to think they'd do small and gotta wait for their president. Going to the "turborympal" as Rafał Woś suggested, it was a surprise to me. On the 1 hand, I heard warnings that Donald Tusk could become a Polish Leo Vadrakar (as Marek Jurek said) or that powerlessness in abroad politics would want to cover up the cultural revolution (this was foretold by J. M. Rokit), but I did not think that all of this could happen at this rate and more importantly with a full deficiency of respect for the law.
What did the Tusk government do? A forceful takeover of TVP with the right of commercial companies, which in fact did not apply to TVP. Arrest for officials of the Ministry of Justice and Fr Olszewski under vague allegations, regulation and guidelines which propose explicitly which laws can be ignored (or ‘mental wellness guidelines’). At first, it was claimed that the regulation of law was being restored but was inactive seeking a legal basis. Now, that's what they say about breaking the law, but that's clearly the right thing to do. And the supporters are happy. any of them dissatisfied, due to the fact that not adequate accounts, besides much "legal formalism". Turns out the Prime Minister can do whatever he wants. Issue illegal regulations, admit he breaks the law, revoke his signatures. What? Nothing. He receives awards abroad for actions for the regulation of law. His fanatics are happy, of course, but so “normal”? Why do they inactive think it's better anyway? Well, partially due to the fact that the media stopped scaring them with the end of democracy. Now whatever is misreceived by the audience, it turns out that Donald's "good Car" is furious and the punishment of "bad Boy Scouts". And it's okay. You can sleep quietly. Duck-dictator (of course not Donald) was defeated.
Perspectives
It's hard to foretell precisely what happens next. I wouldn't number on the government falling down by breaking up the coalition. Besides, repeated elections do not know what they would bring. It is hard to see hope in a constructive vote of distrust for the government and the establishment of the Kosiniak-Kamish government in a coalition with the PiS and the Confederate. Each organization plays under itself, and the fear of a coalition with Kaczyński, which even spreads (as opposed to Tuska) from actions leading to "eating appetizers" as in 2005-2007. I do not hide that specified a solution as the government of PSL-PiS-Confederation (the thought of Mark Jurk) would seem best for this moment. In my opinion, we're headed for a disaster. In principle, contrary to the law and the constitution, abortion guidelines were legalised on request (only a zealous psychiatrist), and the improvement of the judiciary with the omission of the law can besides take place any moment. It is not known who is the justice and who is not, and who can make absolute chaos in this sphere. The hope, of course, is that the environment, whether medical or judicial or prosecutorial, will not be so willingly subject to guidelines that pretend to be law, and in the course of the change of power, those carrying out unlawful orders would be in danger of criminal liability. Who knows? We so have a view of the continuation of a government that conducts a policy that denies sovereignty, resigns from improvement projects, soap eyes and announces dealing with predecessors not necessarily according to the letter of law. Will he truly accept that? I don't know. Donald Tusk is simply a master of prodigies, generating news and playing on fresh emotions. Will he decide to introduce terror? We already have any terror. Even without the “talk of hate” laws, judges are able to regulation in isolation from the codes by absolution or stigmatisation of the accused according to their views or belonging to a peculiar organization. someway in this "soft country" (determination of Tomasz Wołk) we have lived until now, where the law is for the strong and 1 could wave a hand, due to the fact that possibly it is only a more ostentatious form of this pathology born for the current government. Only, in a situation where the trials are resumed for absurd reasons, is there a complete trampling on the legal order, abuse of power, and all of this is signed by Ursula von der Leyen and Marek Brzeziński by patting Tusk or Bodnar on his back, will the power not want to take it seriously and lead terror? I leave that question open. But are we able to take that risk? Should not the work of the state prompt all who are not convinced that it is right to do what is possible for the current government to fail? possibly this kind of questioning will have a small affirmative effect. I want you and I could make things better. due to the fact that now, in smiling Poland, I'm not laughing.
