On Tuesday evening, during the first gathering of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Jasionka, U.S. Secretary of National Security, Kristi Noem, she gave a speech in which she powerfully supported the candidacy of Karol Nawrocki for president of Poland. Her speech was full of harsh words about European leaders and current US president Joe Biden.
Kristi Noem is an American Republican organization politician, politician of South Dakota State since 2019, and formerly a congresswoman in the home of Representatives. Since January this year, he has been Secretary of interior safety of the United States. She was born on November 30, 1971 in Watertown, South Dakota. She comes from a household of farmers and inactive emphasizes her agrarian roots, which is an crucial part of her political image.
Before she began her political career, she worked on a household ranch and ran her own business. In 2006, she was elected to the state parliament, and 4 years later – in 2010 – she went to the U.S. legislature as a typical of South Dakota. There, she rapidly gained the reputation of a hard conservative, especially in budgetary matters, the right to have weapons and opposition to abortion.
As governor, she was celebrated for her very loose approach to covid restrictions – she refused to introduce lockdowns and compulsory masks, which was met with large support among conservative voters, but besides fierce criticism from public wellness experts.
Noem builds her brand as a determined opponent of Joe Biden's administration, a strong supporter of Donald Trump and a defender of "traditional American values". In 2024, her candidacy for Vice president was considered alongside Trump, but her political quotes strained the controversial communicative described in her autobiography – she admitted that she shot her dog and goat, causing a media storm.
Nevertheless, she remains 1 of the most recognizable women in the Republican Party, regularly appears at conferences specified as CPAC and continues to arouse large emotions – both among supporters and opponents.
Support for Nawrocki
Noah began her speech with a direct call to voters:
“We request you to choose the right leader.”
She described Rafał Trzaskowski, the liberal mayor of Warsaw, as “an absolute disaster as a leader”, suggesting that his policy is based on fear and leads to the demolition of societies.
Nawrocki, in turn, spoke of:
"He must become the next president of Poland. Do you realize me?”
Criticism of European leaders and migration policy
Noah powerfully criticized European leaders for their approach to migration:
"When another weak European leaders succumbed and allowed migration that destroyed their civilizations, their public safety that destroyed their communities, Poland did not succumb"
She stressed that Poland should proceed this policy in order to avoid the destiny of another European countries.
Cooperation with the US and military presence
Noah pointed out that the choice of the right leader in Poland will affect relations with the US:
“If you choose a leader to work with president Donald J. Trump, the Polish people will have a strong ally to guarantee that you can defy enemies who do not share your values.”
She besides promised to proceed the US military presence in Poland and to supply U.S. military equipment.
Criticism of Biden Administration
Noah spared no criticism of the current president of the United States:
"Thousands of dangerous criminals have come to our country, hundreds of known terrorists have infiltrated our communities."
She accused Biden administration of pursuing a policy based on fear and deficiency of effective national safety action.
