Following the election, the fresh government of Mateusz Morawiecki present supported by a vote of 187 PiS MPs and 3 Kukiz’15 MPs (now absent were Szymon Szynkowski a.k. Sęk, Agnieszka Go after and Zbigniew Ziobro). All Members of Poland 2050 – the 3rd Way, KO, PSL-TD, Left and Confederacy – did not give a vote of confidence.
– The fight for Poland is simply a kind of relay. It is up to us in this Chamber to give Poland the care of our children and our grandchildren, due to the fact that Poland is simply a large thing, the biggest. (...) – The task I present is simply a task of the future of Poland. Poland, from which we will be proud, ambitious, self-conscious, mature Poland – said the Prime Minister in his exposition
– The office can be held for a longer or shorter time, but the task that I intend to present must win and win and I will strive to do so. I am certain that this task (...) must win and win, due to the fact that possibly not today, not in this chamber, I do not know, but it will win for certain and I will strive for it with all my might," he added.
However, his words did not convince the opposition.
