In the face of dynamic economical changes and threats resulting from globalisation, more and more Poles see the importance of supporting home production. Rafał Skórniewski, ambassador of the run "His own to his own", spoke in a conversation during the cycle Meetings with Economics Władysław Grabski Centre.
He argued that buying Polish products was not only a motion of good will, but an act of real support for the state.
If we support our own industry, our own trade, then the money that is made through these activities stays in the country. They work for us.
He pointed out that local purchases not only feed the state budget, but make jobs, restrict economical emigration and build the country's economical independence.
Buying products manufactured in Poland, and preferably by Polish producers with Polish capital, we have money for education, infrastructure, military – for everything that the state should warrant us.
National Economics and the Free Market
Skórniewski points out that it does not negate the value of the free market, but places the conditions of its operation in accordance with the national interest.
I'm mostly a free marketer. This decision we make is besides free market. However, this free marketplace is not an end in itself.
In his opinion, this country should make better conditions for native companies: by deregulation, simplification of law and low, simple taxes.
Why don't we have companies, brands of products that are known worldwide?
This question sounds like a painful diagnosis in his speech: Poles have potential, but they deficiency systemic conditions to build global brandies.
Although any propose introducing an work to buy Polish products, Skórniewski clearly distances himself from this.
My work is so partial to coercion. That is why I would like to usage the word ‘should’. We'd like to convince people it's in their own interests.
She besides points out that it is not adequate to appeal to patriotism – the quality and price of the product must be competitive.
It is hard to convince people to choose a Polish product, if it is bad, if it is expensive.
Strategic sector: food
In his opinion, the food sector needs circumstantial support.
Food safety is simply a very crucial issue in today's wars, and wars are increasingly economic. So let us choose especially powerfully Polish food.
It besides promotes circumstantial tools to aid identify the origin of products, specified as the Field application:
You're welcome. It's well organized. Easy to use. All you gotta do is mount it on your cell telephone and you can usage it on all acquisition and know what is truly Polish.
At the end of the interview, he pointed out that consumer awareness was growing, as even abroad trade networks noticed.
What's going on, there's quite a few smaller, bigger issues. You have most likely all heard of something, that a given chain of shops with abroad capital sells any products as Polish products. There's a flag, there's a suitable emblem. But after a closer examination, they simply lie.
It calls for vigilance and commitment:
It is worth taking care of Poland. It is worth taking care of Poland in the field of economics. Let us remember ours to ours. Pole buys Polish products, Polish services.
