On Thursday, June 19th, the celebrations of the Blessed Body and Blood of Christ (God's Body) passed through the streets of Polish cities and towns. Polish Catholics, as they followed the Blessed Sacrament in crowds all year, publically demonstrating their religion in His presence.
Traditionally, the processions are solemn and uplifting in character, with their assistance, made up of representatives of the clergy, consecrated persons, liturgical service of the altar, as well as officers of the service, fire department, orchestra, children spreading flowers and faithful.
In many places the processions look beautiful and colorful, being an chance to present the wealth of local culture. In many places Polish participants wear regional costumes, and decorate feretrons according to folk custom. We invitation you to a list of photos showing the uniqueness of today's celebration.
