During the gathering organized by the community of the Men of Saint Joseph in Jasna Góra, an outstanding sports commentator and presenter shared his own experience related to the illness and the first anticipation of regular reception of the Blessed Sacrament.

Przemysław Babiarz spoke about his experiences this year, including wellness and professional problems. In the past fewer months, he has faced hard trials.
– From the beginning of the year I had a feeling that this year's Lent would be peculiar for me; that something very crucial would happen then – he noted.
In late January, the writer was to go to the infirmary for a pre-planned insignificant spinal surgery. He planned to take small time out of his regular agenda and expected him to rapidly return to regular activity. He returned, but to the infirmary bed, due to the fact that during surgical intervention the body was infected. Bacteria was hard to fight, strong antibiotics were needed and another hospitalization. It took 2 months for 4 days of forced break.
– I've never been to a infirmary before, so delight figure out what it was like for me – noted Przemysław Babiarz.
The Lent has begun. – You know how it is. Not only do you get to know doctors, nurses, gymnasts, but you besides get to know the co-patients who share their experiences. A man looks at human misery and thinks to himself: it's not so bad with me...– He mentioned it.
One day, a reporter found a telephone number for a infirmary chaplain on the bulletin board. He arranged for an interview, and from that day on he had the chance to meet and talk daily, as well as confession and acceptance of the Blessed Sacrament. This continued throughout the Lent, about 40 days. – I realized that since the White Week, erstwhile I was at the First Holy Communion in 1972, I had never attended it so often, day after day, I had not had this power of the presence of Jesus in my heart-- He confessed.
– This presence has helped me to last this Lent. Staying at the infirmary was for me the large Post, culminating in the wonderful Triduum – in the infirmary chapel, together with another sick people we read with a division into roles of the Lord's Passion, we enjoyed the large Saturday – The writer said.
– It happened that I left the infirmary on the day of the Resurrection at 2:00 p.m., due to the fact that the examination was inactive ongoing until the last moment. (...) After this long Lent, after this wonderful Triduum I revived, rapidly from that minute I began to recover – told.
