Ladies and gentlemen, I warmly welcome you, at the same time thanking Mrs Grażyna Potok for her invitation and trust.

Thank you to the manager of the POC Janusz Paluch.

Thank you for publishing the book to Mr. Jan Rogoz.

I thank Mieczysław Święcicki, president of the “Ars Longa” Foundation.

I thank my partners editor Zbigniew Ringer and Adam Macedonian, who loved today's promotion of the Lviv song, as the musicians always sang in Lviv.

And since Lviv is the city of Semper Fidelis everyone knows.

We adopted the working title of the book:

"Two of whom were taken from the Lions".

However, Adam and I chose the title “Adam Macedonian and Aleksander Szumański from the 7 fiesola hills”.

I dedicated the book to “My City”:

‘The colours of the meadows

I'm gonna be fine.

in a radiant circle

in a dream

longing for hands

And whispered musz

Lighting the fuse

and you are the Lions”

The book's title was based on Marian Hemar's “Lvivian Strofes”.

Let me remind you of this passage:

...we are from Polish Florence

FROM 7 CITY

FIESOL PAGES,

FROM MUSIC CITY, INTELIGENCE

And the most beautiful Polish women.

FROM THE CITY OF TALENTS, IDEALS,

TEMPERAMENTS AND BLISTERS

AND TEATRU AND warrant AND PARENTS

AND THIS “PANORAS WORKING” —

Oh, my God!

We're from the City of Poise.

WHAT WAS BIRTHDAY WITH US,

As if the stone had changed

IN THE EXCISION,

And the inspiration was in stone

And I'm sorry.

IN THE SERCU CITY STOI.

We're from the only TROA

THE ONLY 1 WHO'S IN THE WORLD,

THE 1 YOU always request IN DEATH,

HEKTOR

He was able to defend himself from the enemy.

And he had it.

Fifteen years...

MARIAN HEMAR ‘LOVISH STROFERS’

Fiesole, a mountainous village located about 15 km from Florence.

The title of the book is pictured by "seven fiesola hills", as Lviv is located on 7 hills, hence the allegory of Marian Hemar to 7 fiesola hills (Polish Florence).

We met Marian Hemar's metaphor:

“...we are from the City of Possia

WHAT WAS BIRTHDAY WITH US,

As if the stone had changed

Inspiration

And the inspiration was in stone

And I'm sorry.

IN SERCU CITY STAI...’.

The book contains fragments of our own poetic works.

"Adam Macedonian and Aleksander Szumański from the 7 fiesol hills" is an different book. He tells about the destiny of 2 boys during their 6–7 and 10 years, woven in the colours of his town Semper Fidelis – Always Faithful of Lviv. They were both born there, raised there, and spent their innocent childhood together. Their fates besides intertwined in games in Kościuszko Park, besides called the Jesuit Garden.

We come from Lviv patriotic families. Adam's father, Władysław Macedonian was a police officer of the State Police in Lviv.

My father Maurice Marian Szumański was a gynecologist-obstetrician, a prof. at the cathedral of prof. Adam Sołowisz at the University of Jan Kazimierz.

Professor Adam Sołowij was the oldest prof. of Lviv universities, among the murdered professors on 4 July 1941 at the Wulecki Hills in Lviv by the Ukrainian-Hitlerian battalion “Nachtigall” (Słowik).

My father was murdered by the Nazis on November 4, 1941. The patriotic teacher of Lviv general and secondary schools taught Polish history.

This is Wanda Macedonian painter, Adam's sister, whom I warmly welcome:

“My beautiful, black-eyed, and black-haired parent has embellished with her works, embroidery and stitching our humble yet very cozy flat in the beautiful city of Lviv. Mom utilized to sing songs.

They were very beautiful romanticist – patriotic. She was with us all the time, then by her parents who were affectionately called Wanda and Adassiu. Parents were Mom and Dad – that's how it was said in Lviv. These times were beautiful and peaceful for our family. Our dad was a state police officer, he went on work for a day or a night. That was until the terrible September 1939. The abroad military and the russian authorities are here. Dad had to hide to save his life.

Among the large works of art I watched, being a tiny kid in Lviv, was the Dominican church.

Barok, with a beautiful golden pulpit on which the priest appeared abruptly with the Gospel and sermon. The ecclesiastical, large dome visible from within, in the mediate of the ceiling, was most watched by me. It was the highest and brightest point of this beautiful church. At the church gate, in a wooden chair, the grandpa sat. Black from dirt.

I was very afraid of him. I heard people say that mediocre guy threw his daughter a second wedding. I don't know if that was possible.

Near this church on Dominican Street, we lived, we small children with our parents. In a tiny flat in Oficin. Dad worked close in the Voivodeship, where the State Police Station was located. His parent utilized to bring him dinners there.”

In the panorama of Lviv seen on the cover of the book is the dome of the Dominican church, in which Wanda and Adam were baptized.

My wife's parents, a lioness, Alina Borkowskia – Szumańska, whom I warmly welcome, married in this church.

The starting point of this book is our home town of Lviv, our childhood and the experience of Adam Macedonian during the long period of communist captivity.

During this period of persecution, I decided to commemorate his attitude. The first effort to compose the book was published in the “Kresowy Serwis Informacyjny” in 4 episodes – October 2011 – January 2012 – “Adam of Macedonian not only cases of Lviv”.

Adam survived the apogee of these persecutions in his Krakow flat on the 8th level erstwhile he turned to him by beginning the window to the balcony: are you not afraid, Mr. Editor, that you will fall out of here?

These methods have besides been described by Joanna Siedlecka in “Obław”:

"My Lord Zaweyski time to jump" - the author Jerzy Zaweyski heard at the open window in the hospital. Jerzy Zaweyski's body was found on the sidewalk under the hospital.

I'm sorry.
