After weeks of speculation and expectations, Prime Minister Donald Tusk presented the final composition of the Council of Ministers after the reconstruction. The decisions of the head of government, although seemingly intended to refresh the cabinet, met with fierce criticism from the co-chairman of the organization Together, Adrian Zandberg. According to the policy, the changes are purely cosmetic and do not address the fundamental problems facing the current government. Zandberg does not hide disappointment, indicating that there has been no real advancement in the implementation of key electoral promises for a year and a half. 1 of the nominations peculiarly amazed and irritated the leader Together, calling it “absurd”, thus undermining the logic and sense of the Prime Minister's decisions.
Cosmetic changes alternatively of real reforms?
Adrian Zandberg has consistently stressed that the problem of the current government is not a single, weaker minister, but a systemic failure to implement the electoral promises. In his opinion, shuffling in Tusk's office will not bring the expected results, due to the fact that they do not contact the core of the problems. As an example, Zandberg gives a change in the position of head of the wellness department – Isabella Leschina (KO) replaced lawyer Jolanta Sobieranska-Grenda. Leader Together, he firmly claims that specified a rift is pointless, if inactive
20 billion PLN is missing for the functioning of hospitals.
"The fact that we will even change the Minister of wellness all 3 months will not substance if we do not increase the wellness budget," Zandberg said in an interview with PAP. This position sheds light on the deep disappointment of the left in the deficiency of concrete action in key areas for citizens.
Minister “to defender others” – amazing nomination by Maciej Berk
The biggest surprise, and even irony, at Adrian Zandberg caused the appointment of Maciej Berk as Minister of Supervision for the implementation of government policy. Zandberg did not cover surprise, pointing to the fundamental principles of government functioning. "It seems unusual that a minister for guarding another ministers has been appointed, due to the fact that if I am not mistaken, this function is to be done by the constitution and that work should be done by the Prime Minister," said the politician. This nomination, in the opinion of the leader Together, is
The signal that Prime Minister Tusk either does not want to, or feels that he is incapable to supervise his ministers,
and decided to give this "honorable duty" to individual else. Zandberg described this as a "enough amazing construction" in which the Prime Minister's duties are taken over by another person, raising questions about the efficiency and coherence of government governance.
Radosław Sikorski as Deputy Prime Minister: Ambitious decision or unnecessary addition?
The next point, which Adrian Zandberg criticised, was the justification for the appointment of Radosław Sikorski as Deputy Prime Minister with assigned European policy competences. Prime Minister Tusk argued that the decision would strengthen the function of the head of diplomacy in global relations. However, the Leader Together has a disagreement about this. "I do not think that anyone outside Poland is peculiarly afraid about whether individual who represents Poland has written 'Vice Prime Minister' on his business card, due to the fact that adequate strength and seriousness gives the Minister of abroad Affairs the fact that he is the Minister of abroad Affairs of Poland", Zandberg commented. He suggests that this decision is alternatively dictated
The desire to item Sikorski's individual function in the political arena
and to satisfy his ambition, not the real request to strengthen Poland's global position.
What does this mean for Poles? Leader position Together
In the light of analyses presented by Adrian Zandberg, the reconstruction of Donald Tusk's government appears to be an operation of an image nature, devoid of deeper, substantive changes. The Leader Together expresses his
disappointed that the public debate on reconstruction did not translate into real, affirmative consequences for citizens.
In his opinion, "it is more apparent that nothing will come from it", which means that Poles should not anticipate breakthrough solutions in key areas specified as wellness care or the implementation of social promises. Zandberg's criticism, although based on concrete examples, draws a image of a government that, despite personnel changes, can inactive face allegations of inefficiency and hold in fulfilling the social mandate.
