The fresh Sącz territory Court received an indictment. Confederate MP Ryszard Wilk will be brought to justice in connection with the incidental that occurred in May 2024 in Kamionka Mała (Norwegian province). The fresh Sącz territory Attorney's Office filed 3 charges against him: insulting police officers, forcing 1 of them to halt intervention and violating the physical integrity of a police officer.
According to investigative findings, on May 10, 2024 police officers intervened in connection with a study of a man sitting on the road and blocking traffic. Upon arrival, they found that the man was intoxicated and incapable to decision himself. After presenting the parliamentary card, it turned out that it was Mr Ryszard Wilk. In the course of his intervention, he was to endanger a police officer with beating, violating his physical integrity, and insulting police officers utilizing vulgar terms against them.
Richard Wilk confessed to all of his actions. In an interview with TVN24, he said:
“I am ashamed of those events, but I will not take back time. I will not hide that those events were related to my alcohol problem”
The MP met personally with the police officers, apologized to them, and paid the full monthly wage to the Foundation for the Relief of Widows and Orphans after the fallen Policemen. He besides waived parliamentary immunity, allowing criminal proceedings to be conducted. Mr Wilk's allegations are serious. The insulting of officers and forcing them to refrain from intervention is punishable by a punishment of up to 3 years imprisonment, while the violation of physical immunity – until a year in prison.
In connection with the incidental and earlier behaviour of the MP, the Confederate suspended Ryszard Wilk in the rights of a associate of the parliamentary club. This decision was taken after the incidental in the Sejm in February 2025, erstwhile the associate was removed from the Chamber due to apparent incapacity.
Mr Wilk's case sheds light on the problem of alcohol abuse among public individuals and the request for work for his actions, regardless of his function.
