Highly left-wing German authorities They wanted to ban the issue of the AfD-related ‘Compact’ magazine referred to by the media as ‘highly right’. However, the national Administrative Court in Leipzig ruled that it could inactive be issued.
Failure of German censorship. The court decided that the "Compact" magazine could be issued because, as stated in the ruling, "the German Constitution guarantees freedom of opinion and the press, even for enemies of freedom", and the magazine did not break the "constitutional principles".
The administrative decision to ban the issue of the "Compact" magazine was taken a year ago by the then Home Secretary, Nancy Faeser. She felt that the writing was compatible with the democratic order of Germany. The magazine writes in an acute speech about migration and genderism, but besides about Poland. "Compact" has published articles in the past that suggested Polish co-responsibility for the outbreak of planet War II.
The national Administrative Court in Leipzig concluded that the delegation of the ‘Compact’ did not have adequate legal basis. According to the court, the magazine preached "conspiracy theories" (e.g. in the days of the COVID pseudo-pandemic) and "historical revisionism" (in the context of any events in Nazi times) but had the right to do so in the light of the German fundamental law.
The editor-in-chief of Jürgen Elsässer did not hide the satisfaction of the court's ruling. He pointed out that if the magazine cannot be banned, the alternate group for Germany cannot be banned. He emphasized that the magazine was sympathetic to him. – We are the strongest voice of the opposition. You'll hear from us again. – he said, commenting on a favorable judgment.
