Confederate press conference attended by Members Bronisław Foltyn and Michał Wawer, on 23 May 2024.
Michał Wawer:
– economical illiteracy Left strikes again! Minister Dziemianowicz-Bąk announced that she would strive to bring about another extremist minimum wage increase in order to rise the minimum wage permanently to 60% of the average wage in Poland. This would mean that after a series, a series of written increases in minimum wage, importantly ahead of marketplace realities, importantly ahead of what rational economical analysis would suggest, the Left inactive wants to press the gas pedal down, even more flatten the wages in Poland.
The left explains that According to their simple interpretations, taken from the planet of economical fairy tales, if we rise the statutory salary, then all the people who presently gain a minimum wage will start earning more.. Well, economical realities look a small different.
Economic reality means that As a consequence of this increase, the lowest earners will be divided into 3 groups.
One of these groups will indeed rise employers' salaries and They're gonna make a small more money in this kind of fake way.At least for a while.
The second group will just be fired. due to the fact that employers find that they are either incapable to keep that many employees or are no longer able to run their business at all at these costs and will wind up the full company.
There's besides Third group of people to be pushed into the grey zone. due to the fact that the employer will come to them with a simple proposal. Either we're moving on to illegal work, due to the fact that I'm paying for the legal money in the company's budget just isn't there, or we're splitting up. Of course, most people who face specified a choice will choose to work in the grey area.
Let us not let people to be faced with specified dramas!
To complete the full image of what the Left is proposing, it must be said that Mrs. Dziemianovich-Bąk is inactive an economical eagle against the background of the head of her party, Robert Biedron, a candidate for Europarlamento for another term, which he late announced would not only fight for minimum wage increases. But besides will fight for the average wage to be raised legally in Poland to European level! And it wasn't a slip. He clearly stressed that he was not talking about minimum wage, but about artificial, statutory raising of the average wage to European level.
That's absurd! Anyone who... I'm not talking about the level of economical studies will say that. Anyone who listened to at least a WOS lesson, how the average is calculated.
I realise that if we were to make the regulations that Mr Biedron demands, we would simply gotta destruct the labour marketplace and introduce state statutory wage fixing across the economy, effectively eliminating the labour market. And therefore, effectively eliminating the marketplace economy and effectively lowering in a fast time the standard of surviving of Poles to the 1 we remember from the times of the Polish People's Republic.
Let us not fall for left-wing populism, let us not fall for left-wing economical illiteracy. Let us remove these people from Polish politics.
