The latest presidential poll conducted by the Pollster investigation Institute on behalf of the “Super Express” brings crucial changes in the arrangement of forces of candidates applying for the office of president of Poland. Rafał Trzaskowski, a candidate of the Civic Coalition, maintains a lead with support of 35%, which means a decrease of 2 percent points compared to the erstwhile study.

Karol Nawrocki, supported by the Law and Justice, was promoted to second place, winning 23% of the vote (an increase of 2 percent points). Sławomir Mentzen of the Confederacy noted a decline in 3rd position with a score of 19%, losing 3 percent points.

The decline in support for Mentzen may be related to his statements on abortion and proposals to introduce fees for studies. Dr Bartłomiej Machnik, a political scientist from the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, comments:

“Mentzen, however, must not forget that (...) his words about paid studies or abortions can overturn the polls and make him not enter the second round.”

The following poll places included: Szymon Hołownia from Poland 2050 with 8% support, Adrian Zandberg from the organization Together – 4%, Grzegorz Braun from the Confederation of the Polish Crown – 3%, Magdalena Biejat from the fresh Left – 3%, Artur Bartoszewicz – 1.12%, Marek Jakubiak from the Free Republicans – 1%, Maciej Maciak from the Movement of Prosperity and Peace – 0.42%, Joanna Senyszyn – 0.40% and Marek Woch from the Partial Local Governments – 0.26%.

The survey was conducted by the CAWI method from 31 March to 1 April on a example of 1007 people.
