The Polish election action in Lithuania is fought by the Polish state at the command of Lithuanians – reveals the Polish consul in Vilnius Irmina Szmalec. The case is described in the weekly magazine “To Things”.

Lithuanian army intimidates Poles

In the fresh local elections before the elections in Vilnius, where a crucial part of the population are indigenous Poles, 1 could see, as the author of the article in “To Things” said, armed Lithuanian soldiers. This is in line with the conclusions that global election observers have included in their study – Euro MP Patryk Jaka and MP Mieczysław Basko, who wrote:

"On the day of the elections, organized uniformed soldiers, members of the Lithuanian paramilitary organization of the Lithuanian firearm Union, were present inside the polling stations and in front of the polling stations, which, according to the voters, caused intellectual force and fear among people belonging to the Polish national minority," we read in a paper that fully accessed the Polish portal in Lithuania L24.lt.

The author of the article in the magazine “To Things” mentioned in the above case correspondence with the consul of Poland in Vilnius Irmina Szmalec, which he subsequently described in the newspaper. Consul Irmina Szmalec was quoted in this material. According to this correspondence, the Polish Electoral Action in Lithuania is combated by Polish diplomacy – here the quote – “on the command of the Lithuanians”.

“Pion political prepares material at dusk AWPL after losing elections. More politicians will follow these guidelines. Poland is besides finishing the AWPL at the command of the Lithuanians, due to the fact that Polishness as a political program is something bad and it should be fought – said Consul Irmina Szmalec in correspondence with the author of the text in "To the Thing".

He supported the anti-edge Duda – advises the Polish Election Action in Lithuania

Meanwhile, the author of the text published in “To Things” in 2020 supported Andrzej Duda in the presidential election, calling on another candidates designated as right-wing to enable them to win the Duda election already in the first round. He besides praised in the same speech for Radio Maryja the president of Lech Kaczyński, which was marked – as the late president himself said in an interview with Arcana “A policy of large understanding” towards countries like Lithuania. Rogalski is presently the political advisor to the head of the Polish Electoral Action in Lithuania Waldemar Tomaszewski.

– surely Poland should not have a president like Rafał Trzaskowski, and unfortunately a fewer weeks before the projected election date I have very large concerns about the result of a possible second circular of elections. Hence my appeal – as president of the Unification of Christian Families – that these 4 candidates should not registry for this election tour in order to have 1 centre-right candidate – I mean, of course, president Andrzej Duda – who will have a chance to win in the first circular of elections – said Rogalski in June 2020 in speeches for Radio Maryja. Let us add that the Unification of Christian Families is simply a tiny organization registered in Poland, led by Bogusław Rogalski, the author of the quoted text in “To the Thing”.

Rogalski traitor to Poles in the Borderlands

Such statements by Bogusław Rogalski drew the attention of commentator Konrad Smuniewski, a erstwhile activist of the National Movement party, who named Rogalski in his Facebook entry in June 2020 "a traitor of Poles in Lithuania". Smuniewski then recalled a number of statements by the President-in-Office, who in his opinion disqualified Andrzej Duda as a patriotic candidate for the highest office in the state:

– Let's say openly, any expectations are a small besides excessive, and that everyone understands, and in any aspects we request to realize this – he spoke about Polish postulates in Lithuania in February 2018 Andrzej Duda in Vilnius, which, among another things, Smuniewski reminded. According to Smuniewski, Bogusław Rogalski, due to the support of the Duda, “he was even willing to stab the Poles resident in Lithuania who had been surviving in the territory of the east Borders for hundreds of years”, since the head of state had previously had in the account mentioned by Smuniewski’s statements, yet Rogalski called for the support of Duda.

Interestingly, for these words Rogalski sued Konrad Smuniewski, ordering him to apologize and delete the Facebook entry. Rogalski, however, lost the case in court, and Smuniewski's entry is inactive available on Facebook:

Boobies or hypocrites

Meanwhile, according to e-mails stolen allegedly from the mailbox of Michał Dworczyk, the Polish state forced (and most likely inactive forces) Polish organizations in Kresach to conduct creative accounting and falsification of invoices. The hooks thus collected were utilized to convict the Secretary of the Union of Poles in Lithuania – read on Kresy.pl portal.

State officials — the authors of the run against the Union of Poles in Lithuania (ZPL) were aware that the formal irregularities in the settlement of invoices by Polish organizations in Kresach were the consequence of negligence on the part of state donors from Poland – was to be admitted by erstwhile Prime Minister Michał Dworczyk. This is evidenced by another email that was stolen from the box of Dworczyk and which was published on the "confidential conversation" website, which previously functioned as a channel on Telegram.

In the revealed correspondence, the erstwhile head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery calls, among another things, the management of the Foundation "Help to Poles in the East" "hypocritics" and "dumpers". He accuses both the Foundation and the legislature and the MFA that it was their own negligence that forced Polish organizations in the East to apply formal abuses in the settlement of funds. At the same time, he admits that the responsibility for this act lies with the Foundation and the Polish State itself:

"This situation is evidently bad, but a full bunch of hypocrites in the Ministry of abroad Affairs, the legislature and the “Help to Poles in the East” Foundation know about it and have accepted it for years due to the fact that they did not want to introduce a strategy solution to the problem of media financing abroad. Or the second possibility, they are morons who can neither read nor write, I uncertainty it," Dworczyk wrote.

Meanwhile, in June 2018 president of the Foundation “Helping Poles in the East” Mikołaj Falkowski argued that the mention to the Polish prosecutor's office as president of the ZPL Michał Mackiewicz and the secretary of the Union Paweł Stefanowicz comes from the work imposed on him by Polish law:

“Everyone who would be in my place and be liable for the settlement of Polish public funds intended to support Polish actions, after we have detected and found that further information is combined, would have no choice but to carry out the work imposed by law,” Falkowski said. "In my opinion, the concern for honesty, transparency, combating irregularities and corruption and ensuring transparency of the settlement of public subsidies of the Polish State, while demanding our beneficiaries of respect for our state and for Polish law, is strengthening Polishness" - argued the president of the Foundation Aid to Poles in the East Mikołaj Falkowski.

The Lithuanians are happy.

Meanwhile, in an email to Prime Minister Dworczyk, he was to uncover the actual motives of Falkowski and vice-president of FPPnW Rafał Dzięciołowski. According to the disclosure, Falkowski and Dzięciołowski not only knew that the Foundation itself was the leader of falsification of invoices, but they themselves lied about the actual motives of their conduct:

“Miłołaj, whose ego has grown to the size of the Palace of Culture over the last fewer years, decided to teach him a lesson and destruct him. He reported the case to the Polish D.A. and both Mackiewicz and Falkowski started accusing each another by making a heated dispute. This was joined by Dzięciołowski, who hates Mackiewicz and felt that thanks to this situation he could destruct him, which was confirmed yesterday in the interview [...]. The fact is that this is the consequence of their confusion and desire to smash Mackiewicz" – Michał Dworczyk described the situation.

At the same time, in an email to Prime Minister Michał Dworzyk admitted that from the full task "the Lithuanians are happy". He besides noted that the dispute active "people from Lansbergis", and Dworzyk may have meant the elder Lithuanian politician Vytautas Landsbergis or his grandson, current head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis, leader of the organization – the Union of Homeland – reluctant against Poles.
