Poland loses arbitration with the Australian company GreenX Metals, and the consequence is PLN 2.2 billion.
Why? due to the fact that the PiS government blocked the construction of coal mines in Lublin and Silesia.
We were to have a fresh mine "Jan Karski" and increased mining in Silesia, but nothing came of it. alternatively of investment, jobs and access to cheap, high-quality coal, now we pay immense compensation.

This is the consequence of a policy which not only did not bring any economical benefits, but it burdened Polish taxpayers. The deposits in the Lublin region will stay unused, and Silesia loses its chance of producing more coke coal.
