Joanna Wiśniowska: Sleepy?
Agnieszka Dziemianovich-Bąk: surely more than at the end of the campaign, after the election I managed to catch any breath. I am full prepared to work in the next term.
Is it inactive time to take stock of the campaign, or do current cases attract most of the attention?
90% of energy needs to be spent on what is ahead. Of course, any things request to be closed, summarized and thanked. Both those who dealt with the run and those who were not straight involved, but thanks to them we have a fresh reality, or voters.
Let's halt for a minute with these summaries. The Gdynia-Sleep territory you ran from is not easy for the Left.
I've heard it all along. But my run experience is completely different. It is simply a territory in which the most crucial subjects for us – specified as the housing crisis, the exclusion of communication, the unrecognizable or unblocked funds from the KPO – are becoming measurable and visible on concrete examples. erstwhile we talked about these problems during the campaign, residents and residents knew what we were talking about, they realized how crucial it was. In that sense, it's a grateful district. This is not, of course, the Greater Town district, but Gdynia and Słupska covers a large part of the voivodship. The Kashubians do not associate with a stereotypical left, 1 of the large cities, but it is simply a challenge that we must face if we want to build the future of a diverse and rooted left not only in larger centres.
So erstwhile you talk to people, left-wing values even resonate on conservative Kashubians?
Yes, that's why during the run we talked about very circumstantial issues, mundane ones, about basic needs, like a roof over your head. It's hard to have ideological disputes in this area. Directions by public transport to a doctor, school, university – these are not controversial topics. If we see the request to grow public services, we have something to talk about, we can find a common language, whether seen as conservative Kashubians or more liberal inhabitants of the Tricity.
How did people respond to meetings in places called PiS bastions?
I have not met any unfavorable or unkindness, either in Gdynia or Kashubians. erstwhile we stopped at 1 of the gas stations in Dziemiany, where support for the left is not great, I met with the large kindness of the workers there. They talked about issues relating to women's rights, they were glad that the Left was fighting for it. But even those who are not our constituents were not hostile. This is simply a very good forecast for a task that is little frequently spoken of, but it is crucial that the common dislike of PiS voters and opposition be buried.
How crucial was the Kashubian identity during the run meetings? Was she fighting while we were talking?
She was important. Our press conference, which we organised in Carthus, was very welcome. I say “our” due to the fact that it was attended by the candidate for the legislature Anna Górska who competed in the elections to the Sejm Magdalena Zglenicka. We met to talk about the Kashubian language and to consider the Kashubians a minority. We wanted to send a signal that we would remember them in Parliament. As the Left we have something to boast about, in the erstwhile word we filed a bill by Maciej Kopc, concerning the Silesian minority, under this initiative our full club signed.
Similarly, we want to appeal for the Kashubians. We believe that if we stand on the side of diversity, stressing that we request common acceptance, equality and designation for each other, this should be reflected in legislative initiatives. At this conference, we were asked why we are dealing with the subject of only minorities, but the left is besides a substance of claiming number rights, whether ethnic, cultural or sexual.
So the MP who came north from Wrocław will become ambassador to the Kashubian community in the Sejm?
From the beginning of my presence in Pomerania, I told you I didn't come to pretend to be Kashubian. I'm not going to dress up in Kashubian outfits, but yes, I want to represent the territory and region according to his interests, according to the interests of the locals and residents. Since I was elected MP from territory 26, including Kashubian, I will apply for Kashubian cases.
Was it hard for you to enter a fresh space and fight for voices here, or was it possible that erstwhile you come from outside, you have a sharper imagination and you're better aware of any problems?
If you are serious about the locals and where you are, you gotta keep your eyes sharp and your proceeding sharp, too, so as not to miss something that is crucial to them. But it is equally crucial to keep authenticity and credibility. Not impersonating someone, not explaining Kashubian problems to Kashubian Kashubians. I would never let myself do that.
When I first started conversation with Anna GórskaI was provocatively convinced that only her and her household believed in her victory. Did you?
I believed it, and at the same time I knew it was a ticket that had to be won, and it had to be very hard work. But I know Anka and I know how brave and hardworking she is. And that he could find time for anything – I could personally trust on her erstwhile at the very beginning of the run I had a serious accident. She then helped me registry my draft letters in Słupsk.
Let's get to the track. How you look at how The tardiness of the PiS gives up power?
I'm not surprised, it's hard to sleep off. The president acts within his prerogatives, but he realizes who has the majority and that it is not the Law and Justice. Andrzej Duda had a good chance to show that he is, however, the head of the state, that he had earned independency from Nowogrodzka. It would be a breath of freshness and a good change. He didn't. It's a shame, but I'm looking at it calmly, 'cause what's going to go distant won't run away.
As you commented, Alexander Hall said: “I was afraid of the school of Czarnek, but I would besides be afraid if you were the head of the Ministry of Education Scheering-Wielgus”?
The Left has not ruled or co-ordinated in Poland for 18 years, so I kindly cast specified fears on the origin of unawareness. due to the fact that if anyone's curious in our program, they'll see that there's nothing to worry about. Let us look at the laws that we tabled in the erstwhile word of office in education. Does anyone fear the Free Warm Meal Act for each student? Did the Act on Jump Increases for Teachers, which I submitted on behalf of the Left, and under which Members of the Civic Coalition, Poland 2050 and the PSL signed? Or are you afraid of the Psychic Act? I don't know what precisely prof. Hall is afraid of. Of course, the Left is the other of the Nigger who ideologicalized the school, making it a propaganda machine. We want to free the school from ideology and repel it.
Then answer the question, which task was Prof. Marcin Matczak: “There were a 1000 hours of religion in schools, it will now be a 1000 hours of sexual education?”
It's hard to take this question seriously, but I'll try, due to the fact that the answer to it is short: no, it won't.
I will quote the prof. again: “In a country where respective million people voted for conservative parties, the most polarizing area, that is, raising children, will become political.”
I can repeat the exact same thing here. is simply a fed kid a politicized child? And a kid who has access to a qualified scientist at school? is simply a kid who learns about same - wellness issues politicized? Of course not. What you request is to socialize the school.
Which is?
Open it to dialog with teachers, parents, students and students themselves. But besides letting NGOs into schools. Of course, care must be taken about the safety and integrity of their activities. We expressed our concern in our erstwhile word erstwhile the minister tried to push Lex Czarnek, which is to block NGOs access to school. At the time, I reported the fundamental ebys of all organization, association, foundation, spiritual union, church, any external entity who intended to enter the school, was required to make a message under the rigor of criminality, for making false statements, whether a individual was legally convicted of crimes against minors in the ranks of that entity. all time the Law and Justice voted against these amendments. due to the fact that the Law and Justice are about ideology and the Left are about the actual safety of children.
