On Saturday 25 October, a procession of Catholics loving conventional liturgy took place in Rome. Bishops, priests and faithful gathered under the Basilica of Saints Celsus and Julian (Santi Celso e Giuliano) and passed through the streets of the Eternal City to St Peter's Basilica.

The procession was part of a three-day pilgrimage known as Peregrinatio ad Petri Sedemorganised by Coetus Internationalis Summorum Pontificum, that is, the global movement established after Pope Benedict XVI declared the freedom to celebrate conventional liturgy.

On Friday, pilgrims sang vespers led by Swiss bishop Marian Eleganti. On Saturday, after the rosary and Holy Mass they went processively to St. Peter's Basilica. During the march they sang Latin prayers and pious songs. In basilica, the faithful celebrated the relics of St. Peter.

The pilgrimage will be officially completed on Sunday's solemn Holy Mass.

The people of Rome and tourists responded to the pilgrimage most enthusiastically. Many stopped to take pictures, even to pray. There were besides manifestations of hatred of the Church, specified as loud renunciations against God at the very sight of the prayed crowd.

On Saturday, October 25, the Synod of Synod on Synodality will besides conclude.

Catholics from all over the planet took part in the pilgrimage – from countries of both Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. There were even pilgrims from fresh Zealand.

There could besides be no shortage of Poles; Polish flags can be seen in the pictures we managed to take in Rome.
