The Confederation's press conference on the anniversary of the genocide of Poles in Volyn and east Małopolska.
Krzysztof Bosak:
– present another anniversary of the genocide apogee in Poles in Volyn and east Małopolska. We remember about this blood sacrifice paid by Poles. We besides remember the cult of perpetrators, which lasts in Ukraine and that unburied our ancestors lie in the pits of death and are blocked by exhumations.
In a minute we will go to celebrations, state celebrations at the grave of the Unknown Soldier, later at the Volynský Skwer at the Volynský Memorial. As usual, any officials will come, others will not come. Many good words will fall. On the another hand, what we primarily pay attention to is that this memory must have a common, social expression. Hence, the Volyn Flowers action conducted by us for respective years, and thus attaching specified symbolic flax flowers, which are to remind – due to the fact that they are flourishing at that time, in July – are to remind that these Poles remained there forever.
The remainder of them are inactive unburied and we wait. And we strive, and we fight, and we will press for the issue of exhumation of Polish Victims in Volyn to be unlocked. If it is possible to exhume Germans, Russians, Ukrainians, then we cannot agree to anti-Polish racism which is that we cannot bury our victims.
Nor can we always agree to pretend to be any kind of relationship or partnership or something like that in a situation where our most basic human responsibilities are prevented. We have definitely commented on this Polish-Ukrainian agreement, which does not cover this issue. It is not acceptable for us that, just on the eve of the next anniversary of the genocide in Poles, the government accepts any unusual and hidden agreements from Parliament, in which there is no mention to this issue. However, it turns out that we are to finance the functioning of abroad troops and be their logistical and strategical facilities and finance the maintenance of a abroad state.
Where is the rule of reciprocity in Polish-Ukrainian relations? Where is the rule of the dignity of our nation? Where's the respect for memory? We are asking for these things, so all year we are at public and social celebrations, and so we are organising these actions, so we remind you of that, it is crucial to us regardless of origin.
My grandparents are all from the east Borders, which are presently within the Ukrainian state. But this is simply a national matter, this is simply a substance that we cannot forget.
