Press conference presenting the study of the Women of Freedom and independency Foundation.
Claudia Domagada:
– I am the initiator of the formation of the parliamentary group on perinatal care. This squad was formed in consequence to the call of women for help. And only the Confederates responded to this call. They're the only ones who wanted to start this band, they've created a space for us to talk to. To talk to specialists, to infirmary chiefs, to midwifes, to doctors. Our meetings were attended by the Ministry of Health, and there were besides national consultants, infirmary chiefs. They created a space for us to talk about improving conditions on Polish births, about the standards of perinatal care, which we have good, but only on paper. They are not respected in many hospitals.
– The fact that we invited another organization MPs is simply a fact. They were invited from the parliament’s mouthpiece, invited in writing. no of our Members responded to this call for help. We had nearly 1,500 calls during the pandemic of women crying for helpSave me. It truly wasn't a courtesy invitation for another Members to join this team. We truly needed hands to work. We were ridiculed erstwhile our Members invited the Sejm speakers that the men had founded this team, that they did not know that they could not talk about it. But men are besides fathers, men are besides at heart the good and women and their children.
– Apart from the fact that we were working with the parliamentary squad The Freedom and independency Women's Foundation during the pandemic provided legal assistance for women giving birth. We had webinars with a lawyer. My lawyer and I published 2 books. 1 as legal aid. The second... we collected all the questions that we have and the parents in general, due to the fact that the fathers, too, sent to us on the vebinar. This was our second guide in questions and answers. How to cope, how to defend your rights in childbirth.
– Our biggest success is the report, which will be presented by Margaret Tylus, who is the author of this report. There were almost 1,500 calls. 1500 women sought aid and only received it from Confederate Members who were active in the Parliamentary Assembly on perinatal care.
