On Tuesday in Poznań there was to be a gathering with Ukrainian author Oksana Zabuzko. The event was interrupted as a consequence of intervention of the All-Polish Youth. The MW activists developed a banner with the slogan: “History you do not know, you support the Nazis!”.
According to media coverage, even before the gathering began, a group of people entered the area where the author and curious in it. They were to chant “Volyn, Volyn! We remember!’ “When will you apologize?” “Poland is us, not Bandera and his dogs!” They besides held Polish flags and a banner with the inscription: “You do not know history, you support Nazis”. The Electoral paper and another media have defined the above slogans as "anti-Ukrainian".
“We will not let those who praise UPA criminals in our country to make celebrities of themselves,” stressed Poznań president David Trzegak. Earlier, activists of the All-Polish Youth effectively disrupted the Krakow feta in honor of the bander writer. It was a reaction to her award of the Stanisław Vincenz literary award.
The riot is known for relativizing the genocide in Volyn. She besides glorified the figure of Roman Szuchewych, the UPA commander liable for the genocide of Poles in the east Borders.
