Rafał Gaweł, who gained the nickname “knur” on the Internet, is an highly left-wing activist, founder and for many years the head of the so-called. Racist and Xenophobic Behaviour Monitoring Centre (OMZRIK). Among the victims of Gawł were the bank, 3 foundations, offices and respective entrepreneurs. He even embezzled part of the money he received to make an anti-racist project, OMZRiK.
Following his conviction, the Judge-Rapporteur found it excruciating that “The creator of socially crucial initiatives has made borrowing and subsidies a way to make life comfortable”. As she said, he created the appearance of pro publico bono activities, and he utilized loans and grants to finance civic projects for his own purposes.
