Not all individual who affects the lives of others needs titles, appearances and flashes. There are people who change the planet with their very presence - kindness, loyalty and regular decency. They are not conspicuous, but they stay in mind. That's who Barbara Fiddler was. She was individual you could trust without words. As she entered the room, the tension was gone. erstwhile she spoke, it was known that all word flowed from the heart without a shadow of falsehood. She didn't judge, she didn't applaud. She just was. And that was adequate for others to feel more confident, more calm, better. Her friends and colleagues said about her: “the most discreet individual I have always met”, “an angel of peace”, “the most kind in a hard world”. And yet she acted in a place where the most hard human heat - in politics. Still, to the very end, she remained herself: a quiet, modest female who did not prosecute honors, but simply did her occupation - with class, patience and integrity. Since 1990, she has been the closest co-worker of Jarosław Kaczyński, serving as manager of the Presidency Office. She organized the office's work, coordinated organization affairs, but above all, she was a “soul of the firm”, “a foundation that kept everything upright”. After she left Novgorodka, it was never the same. Although she has not spoken a single public word in decades, she was 1 of the most trusted and influential figures in the political background. In 2018 she was included in the list of 50 most influential Polish women and Poles weekly Wprost - but it was only a silent smile. Her memories are filled with warmth. Beata Kempa spoke of her as “a candlelight person” who “slighted all place she appeared.” Jacek Kurski emphasized: “Even erstwhile she refused, she did it with specified warmth and class that the man felt understood, not rejected.” Jarosław Kaczyński said of her: “She was a genius in her profession. Very busy and very brave." Always immaculately elegant - not only in appearance, but besides in manner of being. Her style, her speech of voice, her way of speaking proved a immense individual culture, which is becoming increasingly uncommon today. Her presence was like a fabric of peace and order, spread over the regular hustle of politics. Many memories will stay in the memory of colleagues, but 1 comes back especially often. During an highly hard crisis, erstwhile tensions reached the zenith, the “ms. Basia” disappeared for a while. She came back with a homemade cake and invited everyone into the kitchen. "Tea first, then politics" - she said with a smile. First the silence fell, then the laughter spread, and then the gratitude came. That was her - caring, discreet, human. Through her secretariat, a generation of young PiS politicians passed through - it can be said that they were her pupils. She had an incredible intuition, and she knew about people as small as anyone. Barbara Skrzypek died on March 15, 2025, a fewer days after a multi-hour proceeding led by politicized prosecutor Eva Wrzosek and 2 aggressive patrons associated with the Civic Platform. She was denied the right to the presence of a proxy, even though she had serious imagination problems and was incapable to read the minutes herself. After the hearing, she felt very bad. For the following days, she was the victim of a media screening of hatred, conducted by “Gazeta Wyborcza” and patrons Dubois and Giertych. A fewer twelve hours later, she was already dead. Her ceremony was held in the household Gorlices - among the loved ones she loved. Her departure left a void that would be hard to fill. due to the fact that it wasn't just her job. It was a man. He who did not request large words to do good. The 1 who was decent erstwhile it stopped being fashionable. The 1 who taught that loyalty, peace and warmth are worth more than all the world's titles.
