European Parliament MP Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik.

I have requested the NIK to carry out an ad hoc review of the failure of the Tusk government to deal with the floods!

The audit should be carried out at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, at the office of the Polish Waters, Ministry of Infrastructure, as well as the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the Lower Silesian Regional Office.

Crisis management under Donald Tusk did not occur, and many irregularities occurred in 3 areas: flood protection, information to residents of the affected areas and preparation of retention tanks.

The flood was inevitable, but its consequences could have been much little if the government had gathered a crisis staff on September 10 or 11 erstwhile he was getting the first information about the imminent threat, not after the flood wave had already hit respective towns in Lower Silesia.

Prime Minister Tusk's scandalous action deserves peculiar attention. On Sunday, September 15, at 7:00 p.m., the barrier operator of the Śląskie organization provided information about the essential evacuation, and yet Donald Tusk, an hr later, as if nothing had always happened, stated: “The dam will withstand, we have no disturbing information from the people responsible. There should be no major drama." In the meantime, 2.5 hours after these words, the dam was blurred and the water ravaged the city!

This message by the chief of government, after alarming information about the request for evacuation, is an incredible scandal. Prime Minister Tusk should bear the consequences not only of political but besides of criminal-tax consequences for ignoring informing messages and misleading the public!

Today, I have asked the NIK to carry out an ad hoc review of the failure of the Tusk government to deal with the floods!
