In the end, Andrzej Duda entrusted the office of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecek.
"After a calm analysis and consultations, I decided to entrust the mission of forming the government to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Thus, I decided to proceed a good parliamentary tradition, according to which this victorious group was the first to receive the chance to make a government," president Andrzej Duda said in his speech.
The politicians of the United Right have repeatedly stressed that they anticipate the head of state to entrust them with the function of forming a government.
"I anticipate president Andrzej Duda to entrust in the first step the mission of creating the government to Mateusz Morawiecki, although I am of course waiting for the President's message announced for the evening," said Stanisław Karczewski, Senator and associate of the Political Committee of the Law and Justice.
By the time the talker of the Sejm was elected, opposition MP Marek Sawicki, who has been in the Sejm continuously since 1993, became the elder marshal.
"It is my honour to appoint a elder marshal to lead the first session of the Sejm. I have decided to entrust this crucial and prestigious function to Mr Mark Sawicki of the Polish People's Party. Mr. Marek Sawicki has the longest parliamentary internship. He has been representing his constituents in the parliament continuously for 30 years."
On October 15, the compatriots advocated a parliament where 1 organization does not dominate but where cooperation is to dominate.
The mission the president has given me @AndrzejDuda It's a large honor, but besides a challenge. Thank you. @President For trust. I invitation you to cooperate...
The formal winner of the election is Law and Justice, which won 35.38 percent of the vote. However, this is not adequate to get the majority, and no of the opposition parties declare their desire to make a coalition with PiS.
