During Monday's first-day marches, riots and clashes occurred with police in many cities of France, and the largest in Paris, Lyon and Nantes, where cars, garbage containers and bus stops were set on fire. Many shops have been devastated. The prosecution launched an investigation into the attempted execution of a police officer set on fire with Molotov's cocktail during a demonstration in the capital.
