Confederate politicians supported farmers' protest in Plonsk.
Marek Tucholski:
– We've been supporting farmers' protests always since we started. Whenever farmers have a problem, we support farmers. Especially in this hard situation for them, erstwhile the European Union is trying to reduce production. erstwhile they gotta face unfair competition from the East. erstwhile importing goods from Ukraine is unlimited. We realize farmers. Many of our activists are farmers and we are perfectly aware of the large threat to the food safety of Poland.
Contrary to what the government is doing, what the European Commission is doing, we will support, protest with farmers. Food safety is something that goes beyond 1 professional or social group. This is something that concerns all of us. And not only farmers, not only hauliers, who are struggling with trade problems with Ukraine, are not the only ones in difficulty! In hard circumstances, all sectors are besides related to agriculture, which are experiencing expanding losses, e.g. Elewarr – 95 million PLN failure for last year. These are all measurable losses, the measurable costs we bear. As a Confederate, as local politicians we besides support this protest, we will support it to the very end.
Michał Urbaniak:
– The Confederation has been supporting Polish farmers in their business for years, due to the fact that we believe that Poles in Poland are to host! And a good host is 1 who can besides make a living. Which is able to make erstwhile agricultural production is not restricted.
Today's farmers' protest is simply a nationwide protest. Nearly 200 places in a country where farmers protest the simplification of agricultural production, the simplification of farming, the collapse of land. So against the ideological plans of the European Union for what Polish agriculture is to look like. They besides protest against uncontrolled flooding of agricultural crops from Ukraine.
We're with farmers as a Confederate. We were at “Friday against farmers”, alleged “Friday of Kaczyński”. We've been in many another situations. We were with them at the borders, where they protested the uncontrolled entry of fetuses from Ukraine. And present we are here, too, due to the fact that the European Union, due to the fact that the European Commission wants the trade agreement between the European Union and Ukraine to be extended until June 2025.
It should besides be remembered that in Ukraine or in another 3rd countries the standard of agricultural production is different from that of the European Union. frequently these goods are of poorer quality, we request to be clear about that, so we have conditions for unfair competition! We want to defend Polish farmers from this unfair competition. A Pole in Poland is to host!
