The priest responds to an attack against “conversative therapies”: we cannot halt preaching the natural order

In Spain, the LGBT community is being hunted by priests. In a complaint lodged with the government, sex organizations considered pastoral activities in 7 dioceses of the country as ‘conversative therapies’. These are forbidden in the country. 1 of the priests serving the faithful with homoerotic tendencies referred to the accusations and criticisms of the leftist groups. The clergyman emphasized that the Church must preach the fact about the order of nature.

“The church cannot halt teaching what the natural order is. And I do this not with the intention of irritating people, but to carry out His mission, which is to bear witness to the truth," he wrote in consequence to the anti-Catholic offensive of LGBT environments by Fr Jesus Silva of Madrid.

The Presbyter is 1 of the priests whose ministry of the "Rab" environment they consider to be a manifestation of the usage of "conversation therapy". According to the Spanish letter of law, this category includes all activities - besides pastoral - supporting attempts to heal from the train to the same-sex people.

The priest was critical of identifying the service of homosexual people with therapeutic effect. These actions have different objectives, he noted, and as a clergyman he does not deal with attempts to change the sexual train, but with aid in a life consistent with the principles of religion and the exercise of sacraments.

Fr Silva pointed out, however, that attempts to change trains to same-sex persons do not deserve to be reprimanded. Indeed, homoerotic tendencies, contrary to nature, are frequently due to injuries and deficiencies. After they have been cured, impaired sexual orientation may disappear.

No promuevo therapys de conversión. Si una persona con aracción al mismo sexo quiere vivir según ello, la respeto aunque tengo la convicción de que ese no es el camino que Dios quiere para él.

“If a individual who is attracted to people of the same sex discovers that he has the emotional injuries that we all have and takes therapy for them,... it happens that, by curing emotional injuries, the attraction to the same sex decreases. This is simply a fact," emphasized the clergyman, pointing out that a free decision in this case must not be limited in the name of ideological demands.

As he added, “a man is simply a man who defines his body and soul, and what he does or does not do cannot change who he is. The same goes for a woman. Men naturally attract women and women attract men.”

In his text, the clergy have besides criticised these “souls of the past”, which, under the appearance of serving persons with impaired erotic tendencies, confirm sin. “The groups of force want the Church to bend before their demands. But the actual Church bends only before the demands of Christ the Lord," noted the priest.

"The obsession of any Christian groups to support the ideology against God's plan expressed in the Holy Scriptures and the Magisterium of the Church results in a disease," said Fr Jesus Silva, cautioning against attempts to "adjust" moral discipline to the LGBT agenda.
