Jabłoński: Wishes for a fresh 2024

myslpolska.info 1 year ago

With the start of the fresh year, many of us see a note of optimism. We want secretly and loudly that this year will be happy and successful for us and our loved ones.

Old-fashioned people besides add wishes to the state and the nation, and we all hope that it will be just better – in the version for minimalists it is not worse – than the erstwhile one.

And it is my dream that with the hardships and sacrifices that await us and in a very demanding global environment, this is the year of the breakthrough. The year we start moving distant from wishful reasoning and the attitude of a kid of peculiar concern in abroad policy. A year erstwhile we will abandon the naive and unwise notions that the wealth of families and states comes from publishing and exhilarating consumption on credit. Belief that the government can give anything more than it would have taken before, quibbling at the cost of its own livelihood.

And finally, the most harmful myth, the devastating political reasoning of the nation for almost 300 years, that aliens will make our affairs better than ourselves and in addition for our benefit. The story that causes our “enlightened elites” to proceed to follow Adam Mickiewicz's sentence: “Because Paris (now: Brussels, Berlin, Washington, etc.) is simply a popular fashion, And what the French (now: Germany, American, hebrew and even Ukrainian) will think, is Poles will like". The change of this thinking, this suicidal mentality and attitude I propose to begin with the celebration of the triumph of the Wielkopolska Uprising (from 1918, just on December 27th passed without echo 104th anniversary) alternatively of the failure of November (1830); victories in the Warsaw conflict (1920) alternatively of the defeat of the Warsaw Uprising (1944).

Outstanding Poles in the individual of Fr Franciszek Ksawery Drucki-Lubecki in place of Lieutenant Piotr Wysocki; Margrabi Aleksandr Wielopolski in place of Stefan Bobrowski's student; Gen. Tadeusz Rozwadowski in place of Brigadier Józef Piłsudski; Kraków School – Polish School of Economics (prof. Adam Krzyżanowski, Adam Heydel, Ferdinand Zweig and others) and not sanitarian doctrineists (e.g. Stefan Starzyński) and yet from more modern: Dr. Mirosław Dzielski and not Jacek Kuronia. Beautiful are dreams, although not real, you will say. But this fresh year must begin with something pleasant. So let's have a toast erstwhile again. FOR THE different FACILITY OF OUR PROFESSIONAL CASE.
