This time, Minister of Finance of Israel Bezalel Smotricz statedthat the occupied West Bank is “an inseparable part of Israel”. He referred to the “God's promise” as the basis for judaic claims to Palestinian land.
Israeli minister demands annexation of the West Bank. During a press conference, Smotricz announced the launch of a task to combine the illegal settlement of Ma’ale Adumi with occupied Jerusalem. He stated that he had the support of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in matters related to the West Bank. – We confiscate thousands of dunams of land and invest billions to settle a million Jews in the West Banku – stated, openly confirming the conduct of cultural cleansing in this area.
He stressed that it was time to admit Israel's sovereignty over the West Bank and permanently abandon the thought of dividing Israel. – all Israeli home built on the West Bank is simply a declaration of sovereignty, and all vicinity strengthens our claims – he noted, pointing to plans to double the area of Ma’ale Adumim.
Summarizing his statement, Smotricz stated that “our future is not dictated by external opinions, but by the actions of the judaic people”, expressing his belief that an crucial declaration will shortly be made regarding the establishment of sovereignty over the West Bank.
On the occasion, he did not neglect to identify the possible establishment of the Palestinian State as a threat to Israel – “the only judaic state in the world”.
