It was a patodebat, a circus, a cabaret. A mockery of the Polish state and of voters.

Euro MP Stanisław Tyszka in the program Table coffee about the patodebate that took place in Horses.

– A serious politician takes his constituents seriously. Sławomir Mentzen had already been scheduled for 4 meetings in Podkarpacie. And she was at these meetings. He wasn't invited to the debate.

And now I would like to say 2 words about the political aspect and about the legal aspect of this full situation, due to the fact that it wasn't a debate, it was a patodebate, it was a circus, it was a cabaret. It was a mockery of the Polish state and of voters. It was offensive to them.

What did that come out of? We all know that the only phenomenon of this campaign, the phenomenon that stands out is the increasing popularity of Sławomir Mentzen and the incredible crowds which no politician has attracted to meetings consistently across Poland. There has been no specified phenomenon in Poland for 30 years.

We all see how many people come to the meetings of Sławomir Mentzen. That's what another staffs see and wonder what to do. And Trzaskovsky's staff came up with this idea: Let's have a debate with Nawrocki to get Nawrocki up by the ears in the second round, due to the fact that Nawrocki is safer. due to the fact that Trzaskowski and Mentzen in the second circular will lose. Therefore, at this point, mainstream will play Nawrocki and against Mentzen. And the thought was this setup, illegal, between 2 candidates.

On the another hand, the harsh criticism at Trzaskowski began, another candidates joined and at that point he had no choice but to invitation others 1.5 hours before the debate.

And now what it looks like from a legal point of view. A number of laws were violated there. Starting with the Constitution, then the electoral code, the National Broadcasting Council Regulation on Debates, TVP's code of ethics and most likely a penal code.

We heard in the first word that this is the run event of Rafał Trzaskowski. As for the Constitution, the Constitution states that there is equality in the electoral process. If at this point TVP, funded by all of us, is setting up a bill for 2 candidates, this is simply a very serious violation of the electoral law. Trzaskowski and his staff realised at the last minute and 1.5 hours before [debate] invited [other candidates]. ...

We know that signal production at this kind of large event costs at least PLN 2 million. The question is, who paid it? At the minute we are making inquiries to both the Polish tv and the Trzaskowski staff who paid at least 2 million PLN for the production of this signal. If this is done by tv Poland, this is simply a crime with Article 296 of the Criminal Code – to origin harm of a large size, threatened by punishment of up to 10 years. ...
