The coalition managed to break the deficit evidence 3 times in just 1 calendar year...

The coalition managed to break the budget deficit evidence 3 times in just 1 calendar year.

For the first time: adopting in January a budget for 2024 with (recording) 184 billion Gold deficit.

For the second time: amending the budget for 2024 in December and raising the deficit to (record) 240 billion Gold deficit.

For the 3rd time: adopting in December a budget for 2025 with (recorded again) 289 billion Gold deficit.

These are nominal amounts, of course. If extra-budget funds are included (which Tusk has by no means eliminated and yet enlarged), the amounts of real deficits will go up.

Unfortunately, the consequences are tragic: in 2025 already 75 billion PLN, which is almost 2% of the full product of the Polish economy, is expected to pay back loans from erstwhile years. And this is an optimistic scenario, inscribed in the budget bill.
