The Islam of France. Courts let ‘burkini’ on beaches

The Corsican authorities, as part of their fight for the “clarity” of states and public spaces, prohibited the wearing on their beaches of bathing costumes in accordance with the standards of Islam, or alleged Burkina. The discussion of this kind of outfits has been in France for respective years and returns in all holiday. However, the decree on the ban on Corsican beaches was suspended by the administrative court.

The decree was issued on 7 August by the municipalities of Lecci and Zonza-Santa-Lucia. Local governments felt that beachers should wear “the right and respectful of good habits and the laity of public space”. The ban was to apply until September 30. However, at the request of the prefecture, the Corsican administrative court in Bastia decided on Monday 19 August to suspend the order.
The Court held that ‘the prohibitions are not based on indications of disorderly conduct and are contrary to the case law of the State Council of 2016’. According to this authority, it is "a serious and illegal violation of the freedom to usage specified places, as well as of freedom of conscience and individual freedoms". After this decision, Mer Zonza-Santa-Lucia withdrew the decree, but the Lecci captain intends to appeal again. Its ban justified "a terrorist threat, an atmosphere of global tension and concerns about hygiene and safety". The administrative court considered this irrelevant.

There is no uncertainty that the issues raised by the mera were just an excuse to effort to combat the manifestation of belonging to Islam by migrants or descendants of erstwhile visitors. Against this background, there have already been conflicts between Muslims and locals on Corsican beaches. Indeed, the ban seems to go beyond the guarantees of citizens' individual freedom. However, this is alternatively about the gap between the passiveness of central power in the fight against the Islamisation of the country and the feeling of specified a direct expansion of believers of this religion by local residents and their local governments.

The issue of Burkina is only a insignificant reason for the phenomenon of the Islamicization of France. It is even more visible in sports, education or almost all suburbs, not only in large cities. In contrast to the Anglo-Saxon model, Paris strives to assimilate and integrate by any form of harmonisation of behaviour and imposing a code of alleged Republican values. 1 of these is to be laicism, which has become an inefficient form of “bat” on public forms of religion. This “bat” easy falls on the back of Catholics (e.g. removal of spiritual monuments from public space), but in the case of Islam it does not work. Together with the demographic growth of Muslims in Western European countries, both the Anglo-Saxon model of ‘tolerating’ cultural diversity and the French model of cultural integration are broken.

An interesting comment on this situation is the voice of Algerian author Boualem Sansal, who frequently publishes in French media. He is, among others, the winner of the 2015 Grand Prize of the French Academy. He late wrote in "Atlantico" that "Islamists know that Britain will fall like a mature fruit and Europe will follow it". In the face of Islam, all social model breaks down. Sansal thus commented on the last riots that shook Britain after 29 July. As he noted, "we are witnessing a direct defeat of Britain in the civilian war,... caused by disintegration forces specified as Islam and its extremists, uncontrolled mass emigration, and unconsistent political elites, bound by political correctness and voicism, ready to compromise in order to keep peace and their position."

"The failure of Britain will lead to the failure of many European countries. We will see that the European Union was designed so that it weakened the states and brought them together into a defenceless whole," Sansal added. The prophecy sounds dangerous, but the author knows Islam well, as if from within. The ideas of the left on a multicultural, secular and tolerant “new society” are conducive to its progress. Sooner or later, they always face Sharia laws as an integral part of it. The alternatively ridiculous fight of the French from the "burkini" is to fake actions, in addition to being unsuccessful and only setting Muslims even more hostile to the state. On the another hand, the work of the Labour organization government for the riots in the UK to "the utmost right" is not only a misidentification of the main problem, but besides a large step towards the abyss stretched during the suicide. 2 different systems, but the same effect. The Sansal mentioned here spoke of a "spinner" where 1 overturned in the game component causes the others to fall.
