MP Bronisław Foltyn on X.
Have you heard of EUDR... which is the latest EUroDuRnot?
You don't? Then hold on tight!
Now In 3 months from the Ministry of Climate, they must introduce in Poland a complete ban on trade in goods that include, inter alia, wood, rubber, coffee, cocoa or beef, if they do not have an EUDR certificate.
So far, we don't know:
– who and under what conditions should issue these EUDRs at all,
– the more nobody knows who and how they will be controlled”,
– and no 1 has any thought how this works, looks and functions.
On the another hand, it is already known that any producer, importer and exporter that does not do so by 30 December 2024:
– pay drastic penalties (up to 4% of yearly revenue),
– and any product-product without this certificate will be confiscated.
What's all this for? And in the fight against deforestation!
In another words, if from 30.12.2024 you do not prove that:
– each rice paper, bookshelf, chair, winter tyre or rubber seal is produced from a ‘non-deforesting’ tree,
– and beef for each steak, broth, or tartar, comes from a cattle grazing on a “non-foresting” meadow,
You're a criminal!
And you can't prove it, due to the fact that for now even ferns” don't know how to prove it.
P.S. Seym email boxes are just flooded with writings from terrified owners of paper, furniture, construction and food companies, and this is just the beginning, due to the fact that the vast majority of entrepreneurs have no thought what is waiting for them in a fewer weeks
