Will they come out or not? – that's the question we've been asking ourselves over the past fewer weeks, knowing about the tensions in Total lots and announcements by Adrian Zandberg that respective MPs intend to leave the coalition club of the Left in the Sejm.
Senators Magdalena Biejat and Anna Górska and Members Dorota Olko, Daria Gosek-Popiołek and Joanna Wich present announced that they were leaving the organization Together. And with them a group of activists and activists, including both councillors of Warsaw.
Politicians want to stay in the club and take work for governance, want to support the Left in the upcoming presidential election. They do not want to stand aside from politics in a comfortable position, from which it is easy to criticize, but small can be done.
They reported of their departure 2 days before the announced organization congress, which raised force and raised suspicion that it might be the effect of any political deal and a forecast of the soon-to-be swallowed Left by the Civic Coalition. However, many congratulate the decision and appreciate responsibility.
At a conference at the legislature building, Members convinced that the decision was dictated by a deep reflection, a desire to stay faithful to 1 another and to their constituents who wanted Together to strengthen the Left in the government, not weaken it. They don't enter the fresh Left, they stay unpartisan.
"As the far right grows, it is time to focus on the fight for matters. We are moving forward and, together with another groups of the left, we will fight for everything that we have spoken about just over a year ago in the election campaign. [...] The stronger the Left parliamentary club, the stronger the Left in the government. Our goal is clear – to deliver as much of our demands as possible in this word of office" – wrote in a statement.
Tensions in the organization Together were many: incomprehensible to many proceedings by Paulina Matysiakwhich seemed to be playing harder and harder on each another in fresh months. On the another hand, it was hard to compromise the parties together, supporting the coalition on 15 October, which failed to bring about the promised rights of women, partnerships, more crucial budget support or housing.
A year after the Left entered the government, 2 things are known: it is not adequate to be right and to be patient.
During the debate on migration strategy The Left has shown that it can have a separate opinion, that it is willing to stand for human rights and not agree to suspend the right to asylum. Earlier 17 MPs and MPs of the Left Club (including Adrian Zandberg and Maciej Nejny) voted against the Act on Decryminalization of the usage of Arms.
It's not adequate to block specified laws, but if the organization Together, as she predicted, left the club, the voice of the Left would be even quieter. Meanwhile, Adrian Zandberg, Maciej Koniecny, Marta Kożek, Paulina Matysiak and Marcelina Zawisza were left together.
