Such a slogan should be the main determinant of Polish policy, both internally and internationally.
Defending the Polish national interest and not succumbing to phobias, momentary moods, sympathy or ideological contaminantness. A single citizen may have his or her own feelings and his own assessment of the situation, but the state should be free of it.
I compose these words erstwhile we have another chapter of the conflict in the mediate East threatening to stabilise not only in this region, but worldwide. besides many powers are actively active on 1 side or the another side of the barricade there, so as not to see the dangers resulting. Everyone calculates what will benefit them and how to react, whether Israel's war with Iran is beneficial to him or not, if we consider that war can be beneficial to anyone at all. But this is the planet we are dealing with today. Ukraine has already decided that the mediate East war is not beneficial to it, due to the fact that it distracts the West and, above all, the US – from its war with Russia. Russia is officially on the side of Iran, but it is certain that it draws very different conclusions for itself than Ukraine. arabian Monarchies respond like Russia, but it is the secret of Poliszynel that Iran fears and is not going to hazard anything more than verbal protests. In an awkward situation, Donald Trump was preaching lice and to a peaceful slogan that not only did not halt the war in Ukraine, it besides has a fresh 1 in the mediate East.
Someone will ask – and Poland? erstwhile we examine our opinions, we will note 2 extremes – the first, openly justifying Israel's attack on Iran (e.g. in TVN) and the second, which is embodyed by the slogan cast by 1 of the politicians of Tehran-Warsaw – a common cause. I think both are wrong. I reject the first 1 due to the fact that it accepts an uncritical Israeli communicative that resembles the illusion of George W. Bush's communicative "justifying" US attack on Iraq in 2003. As we know today, this communicative was based on an open and vulgar lie. Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction; it was only about destroying a country that Israel considered dangerous to itself. So it is now, and it is clear that Benjamin Netanjahu has entered Volodymyr Zelenski's shoes, just as he is going to straight engage the US in the war.
The second position convinces us that we are to stand unequivocally on the side of Iran, due to the fact that it is our "common cause". I mean what? – you can ask. The conflict is taking place far from us, it does not concern us, there is no threat of utilizing Polish units there, as in Iraq. We request to stay distant from this conflict and only call for its swift peaceful conclusion, and nothing more. Even if the muslim neighbors of Iran are abstinent (Saudi Arabia, Jordan or the United arabian Emirates), why should Poland talk clearly on 1 side? I repeat, this concerns authoritative state policy. Privately, everyone has the right to their own judgment, political and moral, and that's all.
