In 2017, the Polish public outraged the removal of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw at night, the inscription “Bircz”, commemorating the heroic defence of this town from UPA gangs, continuing genocidal murders on the innocent civilian population of Poland. During this period there were many questions about the links between the defenders of those lands, with the communist strategy in Poland.
Fighting UPA over Bircza with a shame for “the servants of the Ukrainian people”. Bircza's heroic defence against the genocide formations of UPA, to this day they hold everyone who hoped that this town and its inhabitants would share the destiny of thousands of Polish villages and settlements murdered in a beastly way by bander rezuns.

He became commander of the MO station in Sośnica. On April 14, 1945, the MO station in Sośnica attacked a band of UPA. As a consequence of the fight, the militiaman was badly wounded. He was taken to the hospital, died there on 16 April 1945. The tomb is located in the Council.
