In Lublin at Jantarowa Street for years you can see an different view: among the flat blocks there is simply a increasing field. Its owner, Janusz Oydra, became a local icon and its past revolved around Poland. Now the farmer has made a decision – he puts the ground for sale, but does not close the door for negotiation.
A field in the heart of the city – an extraordinary story
Residents of the settlement got utilized to the sight of a harvester or tractor passing between blocks. Janusz Otter has been increasing his field for years, even though it is surrounded by modern buildings. His stubbornness and attachment to the earth gained the sympathy of the local community.
– We like to look at the field than at another concrete block – the residents admit, recording videos from field works and sharing them on social media.
Ostropest alternatively of cannabis – what grows in the field?
In fresh years, the farmer has leased land to Hemplab, which has grown fibrous hemp for cosmetics there. Today, however, the otter is independently increasing – this time it was sowing the ostropest, which is to be harvested at the turn of August and September.
11 million PLN per game – will there be a buyer?
Area 56 acres has been valued at over PLN 11 million. The zoning plan provides for a multi-family building, so the offer is aimed mainly at developers.
– The decision is not final. We set the ground up to see what interest would be. We don't gotta sale it, but we're going for it," he says. Janusz Otter in conversation with the portal lublin112.en.
The farmer points out that open to negotiation. If we can't find a buyer, the field will proceed to grow.
What about the field on Jantarova?
