– Exhumation of Nazis in Ukraine. Exhumation of Nazis in Ukraine. I repeat for the 3rd time: the exhumation of the Nazis in Ukraine – this is how he started Monday's press conference MP Krzysztof Tuduj.
– It's hard to believe! Germany, with the approval of the Ukrainian government, exhumes Nazis, Wehrmacht soldiers in Ukraine. At the same time, Poles are refused to exhume victims of the Volynian Reich. This is an incredible scandal!' said Mr Tuduj.
– We present a request that the Law and Justice Office behave hard, in accordance with the Polish national interest. So he wouldn't be soft and put up an ultimatum of Ukraine:
Either there will be an exhumation of Polish victims of genocide in Volyn or military aid which is being provided to this country will be stopped.
– The German People's Association of War Tombs has been exhuming Wehrmacht soldiers in Ukraine since the early 1990s. respective twelve soldiers were exhumed. This is with the approval and assistance of the Ukrainian authorities. That's it. These works were not stopped during the war. Almost a 1000 German soldiers were exhumed last year. The argument that the exhumation of Polish victims is expected to wait for the end of the war is completely affected by specified fact. German Nazi soldiers are treated in this way, and civilian victims of genocide – chopped with axes, forged with forks – cannot wait for a worthy burial. This is simply a scandal!
Mr Tuduj besides pointed out that:
– Germany conducts these exhumations not only in Western Ukraine but even in places where Ukrainian troops dig trenches And there they find the bodies. Exhumations are carried out even in the vicinity of war... The Ukrainian administration besides allocated respective twelve hectares to cemeteries for these soldiers.
Witold Stoch:
– Poland does not usage any diplomatic possibilities. In 2018 president Andrzej Duda laid flowers in the field. 5 years later, erstwhile relations between Poland and Ukraine are said to be great, Mateusz Morawiecki made a cross of sticks. And this, according to them, was symbolic, worthy of a “burial” of victims of genocide. Even the Institute of National Memory criticises the way Polish-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of exhumation.
– Poland, like no another country in the world, helps Ukrainians during the war with Russia. (...) The Ukrainians were warmly welcomed by Poles erstwhile they fled the war. We believe that this is the minute to begin real negotiations and yet to end the exhumation of victims of the Volyn genocide. ...
Witold Stoch besides recalled that the Confederation prepared a draft global agreement between Poland and Ukraine on the 80th anniversary of the genocide in Volyn.
– Our task assumes that Ukraine undertakes to grant Poland independent exhumation of victims of genocide crimes, without the request to get separate decisions allowing exhumation. The task besides assumes that all victims of genocide crimes will be buried in the recently built Mausoleum for victims of the Volyn massacre. Endowment victims deserve a decent burial spot. ...
