Candidates for president taking part in the debate organized by tv Republika rejected the anticipation of sending Polish troops to war in Ukraine. They pointed out that Poland's safety is very important, presenting ideas on how to strengthen them. Karol Nawrocki besides announced the termination of the migration pact.
Almost all candidates who were submitted to PKW participated in the debate. However, they did not want to discuss – poll leader Rafał Trzaskowski – and Magdalena Biejat, supported by Lewica. Grzegorz Braun, representing the Confederation of the Polish Crown, assured that as president, he would not send Poles to the Ukrainian War. "I will normalize relations with all neighbours in the East and in the West so that Poles are safe," he said.
Confederate candidate Sławomir Mentzen besides assured that he would not let to send Polish soldiers to Ukraine. "If I am president, no Polish soldier will hit Ukraine, no Polish soldier will die for Donbas or Crimea," he stressed. Mentzen. The candidate, supported by the Law and Justice, Karol Nawrocki pointed out that information safety is part of the safety of the Polish state. "As president, I will take care of the home of free speech and freedom in Polish media", he noted. He added that the biggest challenge for the safety of Poles is not only the eastern, but besides the western border of Poland, which is leaky.
"As president, I will search to unilaterally denounce the migration pact, and I will besides appoint the Office for the fight against illegal migration. Today, we request deportation centres for illegal migrants, not integration centres for illegal migrants", he stressed. Nawrocki added that in the global context he would strengthen Poland's position in NATO, as well as a bilateral relation with the US. He assured that he would not send Polish soldiers to Ukraine either. Partial candidate Artur Bartoszewicz stated in turn that he wanted to build the military possible of Poland and buy modern technological solutions. "I want Poland to have a carrier, so that there are six submarines in Poland. I want the full society to be ready to accept the hazard of defence," added Bartoszewicz.
