The most crucial question for my generation, after “what car?” and “where is this year for vacation?” is why the generation of millennials does not want to join our protests. Now in a very comic way, she asked them. Dorota Wellman.
I think I realize both generations. So I'll effort to explain 1 thing to another.
The event defining the differences between us (me or Dorothy Wellman) and the millenniums was the grasping of the labour marketplace by corporations. In the media, this occurred about between 1999 (Agora's entry into the stock market) and 2004 (fact debut).
In another industries, key dates are similar. due to the fact that in a broader perspective, it was all a substance of joining the Union.
Consequently, the situation of individual starting work in 1995 and in 2005 was radically different. The difference is greater than, for example, between 2008 and 2018.
My peers and Dorota Wellman started working in companies that we would call "turquoise" today. There was no rigid hierarchy, it was easy to advance. In 1990 the full Poland was a startup.
We had a sense of perpetuity. We felt that we could follow our dreams, carry out our projects. And many of us have.
We were paid pennies, but they were paid from the beginning. In many industries, collective agreements for the Polish People's Republic of Poland were inactive in force. besides in the media.
A younger colleague starting in 2008, usually landed on a free internship. Then they took him to the garbage truck and promised that in the fall he could quit his job.
With the fall it is spring, it is the next autumn, and at the same time not to know why (in the corpo everything is simply a secret, but for the exchange messages!) these jobs were located for others.
Our young man was losing his sense of cause. This was strengthened by the Polish school of management of humiliation. “I have 5 candidates for your place”, “I have not yet decided whether I will pay you for this month”, “Our manufacture is simply a tiny world, I can arrange that no 1 will hire you” – it is simply a Polish corporate class.
In the West they besides have corporations, but thanks to various lubricates fisting the invisible hand of the marketplace is little painful. There corporations usage affirmative motivations: a clear way of development, stock options, various perks.
People don't get crap like they do in Poland. This is simply a fixed point of the countrymen's communicative on sax: that not only money larger, but besides yet do not feel treated as a convict in a penal colony.
On the “Wiesławiec deluxe” website there was a gag about Polish improvement paths. HR worker to an applicant: “For starters, you will lose your ability to receive cultural works, and after 5 years, you will already laughter with your colleagues erstwhile you are showing on the footballer memes’ phones at vodka.”
And I'm not talking about Amazon employees, I'm talking about middle-class corporates sitting in modern office buildings. Even in the same business as me and Wellman, only unluckyly younger by 10-20 years.
If they always felt freedom, affluence, subjectivity, etc., it was only in private life. Thus, they can be mobilised with "abortion" slogans, but these themes the opposition avoids due to the fact that why irritate the benefactor.
Wellman's text sounds like the continuation of the Polish school of negative motivation. What are you kids doing waiting for Netflix to turn off? Move, move, the PiS won't disprove itself!
The opposition has been speaking to the public for years. That is why present is an opposition.
Komorowski presented himself in a run like a toxic boss who does not even effort to make him like him. No smile, no fuss. “I have 5 voters to replace you!”
How can we convince young people to be right? For the remainder of the year, we request another school program in which civic education will be alternatively of cognition of society.
For now, the school teaches democracy as it teaches frog cross-section, “who can cancel whom”. And it should make an attitude "I am aware of my rights and I can defend them (e.g. in court)". This should in turn affect a change in the labour market, so that it respects these rights.
It's evidently a task for years. On the short term, I have specified a proposal – to ask for aid with reconstruction groups, playing knightly duels. delegate each opposition politician, journalist, celebrity or another authority to a knight in a full gutter so that all time the opposition starts a field in the series "you claim rabble...!", the knight punches him with a rubber chicken without a head.
