LOS ANGELES- Delta Air Lines (DL) adds new daily nonstop flights to Hong Kong (HKG) and three daily flights to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) from Los Angeles (LAX) starting from June 2026.
The new routes expand DL’s global gateway status and deliver premium travel choices on both sides of the Pacific.

Delta Hong Kong and Chicago Flights
Delta Air Lines (DL) is launching daily nonstop service from Los Angeles (LAX) to Hong Kong (HKG) on June 6, 2026, and three daily flights to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) starting June 7, 2026.
These additions cater to diverse travelers, from business professionals to leisure explorers, by linking LAX to two global hubs.
Hong Kong (HKG), a dynamic blend of tradition and modernity, offers vibrant neighborhoods, iconic skyscrapers, and world-class dining and shopping.
The route also supports Delta’s joint venture with Korean Air, enabling over 30 one-stop connections across the Pacific.
Chicago O’Hare (ORD), a major US hub, connects Los Angeles to a city renowned for its financial, manufacturing, and cultural influence.
The route’s schedule accommodates both business and leisure travelers, providing access to Chicago’s culinary scene and LAX’s tech and entertainment industries.
These services enhance Delta’s position as the largest global carrier at LAX, with over 160 peak-day departures to more than 50 destinations.

Premium Travel Experience at LAX
Delta (DL) prioritizes passenger comfort at Los Angeles (LAX) with an upgraded airport experience.
The $2.3 billion Sky Way at LAX project features a modern Terminal 3 with a centralized check-in lobby, expanded security checkpoint, and an award-winning Delta Sky Club.
Customers flying Delta One to Hong Kong (HKG) gain access to the new Delta One Lounge at LAX, offering 200 seats, a chef-curated menu, a year-round sushi bar, and wellness amenities like full-body massage chairs.
In Chicago (ORD), Terminal 5’s Delta Sky Club spans 22,000 square feet, part of a $50 million terminal upgrade.
This spacious lounge provides a relaxing environment for eligible travelers. Delta’s focus on efficiency ensures a seamless journey from curb to gate, with dedicated Delta One check-in services for a concierge-style experience.

Onboard Experience
Delta’s Hong Kong service utilizes the widebody Airbus A350-900, designed for long-haul comfort. Delta One suites feature lie-flat seating, privacy doors, and chef-curated meals, while Delta Premium Select offers extra space and upgraded amenities.
Flights to Chicago will be operated using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, offering Delta First, Comfort+, and Main Cabin seating.
All cabins include seatback entertainment, in-seat power, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members. Delta Studio provides over 1,000 hours of free entertainment content on both routes.

Delta’s Broader Commitment
Delta currently operates more than 160 daily flights from LAX to over 50 destinations. In addition to Hong Kong and Chicago, upcoming international launches include Shanghai (PVG) and Melbourne (MEL) by late 2026.
The airline’s $2.3 billion investment in LAX infrastructure includes the Delta Sky Way and Terminal 3 upgrades. Features include a 27-gate facility, a centralized check-in lobby, expanded security checkpoints, and award-winning Sky Clubs.
