Warsaw Debate: housing and transport trend in discussion

On Wednesday evening, candidates and candidate for president of Warsaw met at the TVP Info on Voronica. The debate was attended by Rafał Trzaskowski (KO), Magdalena Biejat (Lewica), Janusz Korwin-Mikke, Tobias Bocheński (PiS), Romuald Starosielec (Movement of Poland) and Przemysław Wipler (Confederation, Unpartyd Local Governmentists).

As happens in pre-election tv debates, the format was very structured – with calculated time on answers, beeping and drawing order. It always kills the energy of discussion, or fundamentally any discussion, but for now, we haven't come up with a better way to tame politicians. The debate had 2 parts. In the first, there were six questions concerning education, transport, health, security, housing and the worldview and questions from the comments of net users. The second is common questions and time for positions.

Let us look at what the Warsaw debate looked like and what the candidates and the candidate talked about.

Six subjects, including 1 of the ass

Janusz Korwin-Mikke, speaking about education, humiliated the LGBT+ community and told the pharmacists that “red riffraff” brought the school coeducation. Trzaskowski, Biejat and Wipler began with the memory that they were parents. Candidates talked about good meals for children, which may be a announcement that the substance brings politicians together over divisions – they talked about meals and Biejat and Bocheński.

Romuald Starosielec called for a referendum on transport, as he is convinced that a healthy compromise between cyclists and drivers is possible. I invitation you to Pulawska, here this compromise looks like there are 3 lanes for cars, a pavement of which half occupy parking spaces, and for pedestrians and cyclists who drive on the pavement due to the fact that they are afraid to go down the street between speeding cars, there is only a part left. Tobias Bocheński is against a clean transportation zone, and Korwin wants to have a city for cars, like in America, alternatively than a garden town. Magdalena Biejat postulates the elimination of gates in the subway and buspasa wherever buses stand in traffic.

When it came to health, any candidates were already connected with everything – so they returned to school and transport. Rafał Trzaskowski mentioned what Warsaw is already doing, that it has 10 hospitals, in vitro support programs, support for women. He said the city wouldn't replace you. Magdalena Biejat said the same thing. The Levite candidate besides said about prevention, about the fact that no 1 will be covering himself up in hospitals with a conscience clause, and there will be dentures in town to survey children and prevent caries.

The question of safety was about limiting alcohol sales. Romuald Starosielec called for a referendum on the sale of alcohol, due to the fact that the referendum is most likely his answer to all social problem, but he added powerfully that 1 should focus on safety in the context of the war in Ukraine. Tobias Bochensky supported that voice. Magdalena Biejat mentioned the violent rape and execution of Liza in the city centre in the context of safety and regulation of alcohol sales. shortly there will be a conversation between Paulina Januszewski and Biejat in the series on Political Criticism We won't let you forget. halt feminicide!.

"I am capable of promoting Prohibition, like Trzaskowski to advance industriousness," said Przemysław Wipler. WTF.

Almost all candidates agreed that the issue of deficiency of access to housing was a problem. Almost everyone. Rafał Trzaskowski announced his willingness to cooperate with Magdalena Biejat on their construction. He told her. Of course, Biejat showed how hopeless the situation on the housing marketplace in Warsaw is, she talked about the request to build apartments for rent. The issue of housing was clearly a precedence for the Left.

The last subject of the first circular of questions was the worldview and here, a surprise, was asked about access to abortion. Access to abortion would be better suited to health, but individual thought that women's rights were a substance of view. Magdalena Biejat protested against talking about abortion as a worldview case. But, okay, at least we heard any of the phrassians talking. For example, Przemysław Wipler talked about traffic jams in the city. Rafał Trzaskowski explained that "Warsaw has no worldview" and mentioned that the city has collaborated with Caritas and with Political Critics. I confirm, we carry out projects thanks to the support of the capital city of Warsaw. Welcome to the Social Cultural Institution Jasna 10.

Airports and cooperation

In the part where candidates and candidates answered questions from commentators, the first 1 afraid the future of the CPK and Chopin airports and the 1 in Prayer. The CPK case does not depend very much on the president or president of Warsaw, but this question gave a chance to hear what the debaters/ca on TVP consider about the CPK and airports, but besides the Okęcie area. The answer was to think that Okęcie would disappear, and that the settlement would be built in his place. And that's where we get back to housing.

Here I urge Kai Puto's text on CPK and arguments for and against this project.

The next question afraid cooperation between Warsaw and the government and neighbouring municipalities. large question, due to the fact that quite a few people live under the city and into school and work, parties or a museum commutes to the capital. Rafał Trzaskowski mentioned cooperation with neighbouring local governments on transport. Magdalena Biejat mentioned circumstantial ministers she wants to work with.

It's very interesting that the corresponding people talked a lot about transport. Clearly, next to housing is the second crucial issue that politicians see.

Question to a friend

Magdalena Biejat in a circular of direct questions to another candidates asked Rafał Trzaskowski if she would resign from being president of Warsaw for the presidency of Poland. A very circumstantial question, due to the fact that Trzaskowski is simply a presidential candidate, and in the event of a win he would most likely abandon his current function. Trzaskowski got a small out of the question. Magdalena Biejat was asked about the parades of equality and their obsceneness. The better question Biejat could not get, due to the fact that the candidate goes to parades and knows that these are not any parades of obsceneness, but the joy of freedom of expression and being herself, even for 1 day while walking around the center of the capital.

Tobias Bochenski asked Rafał Trzaskowski about the list of readings for the subway. Trzaskowski did not urge any reading.

Finally, each individual could talk freely. Magdalena Biejat talked about green Warsaw, employees, transport, cooperation with the staff of people with whom she created the program. Rafał Trzaskowski reiterated his willingness to cooperate with Magdalena Biejat on housing issues.

Who won?

Korwin spoke nonsense, Romuald Starosielek utilized time to show himself, though he would be remembered as a referendum supporter in any case. Wipler showed us beautifully, as the 1 who told us about alcohol, Rafał Trzaskowski, Magdalena Biejat and Tobias Bocheński spoke about specifics. If 1 of us remembers, it is simply a double assurance by Trzaskowski that he wants to cooperate with Magdalena Biejat.

Everyone is waiting for the punch line, which is to answer the question of who won this debate. It was won by TVP Info, who managed to organise this debate, get all candidates to participate and run this program.
