Member Grzegorz Braun He threw himself on Tuesday with a fire extinguisher on a Khanuk candlestick standing in the hall of the Sejm. He was punished by the Presidium of the Sejm with the largest possible penalties: the semi-annual failure of parliamentary allowances and the failure of wage barrier for 3 months. In addition, the prosecution will conclude from the 3 paragraphs: disrupting spiritual ceremonies, violating physical integrity, and bringing a threat to life and health.

Mr Braun must be punished with all severity for the anti-Semitic act, for violating the seriousness of the Sejm, but can he besides be mocked?
It is hard to believe, but fortunately, there were many cameras and mobile phones there, and it was possible to immortalize both the act of extinguishing with the fire extinguisher of Khanu candles and the foam-crushing MP Braun, who had already said on the Parliamentary talker that the Khanu candlestick was a manifestation of the cult of "satanistic, racist and Talmudic" and called for a theological debate during which he wanted to support his action with further arguments.
Bosak failed
Krzysztof Bosak, who at that time as Deputy Marshal led the session of the Sejm, failed to pass the exam. The alarm raised by Mr Witold Zembaczyński, who entered the platform and informed the Sejm of what was happening in the spheres – it was apparent that he could not respond to the actions of his organization colleague (both of them belonging to the Confederacy).
He wanted to keep the meeting, although Zembaczyński asked for a break and a reaction to this anti-Semitic attack on the spiritual symbol. "I realize that your request is addressed to the Presidency of the Sejm, at the next session of the Sejm we will consider this proposal," Bosak said.

The fire test (excuse me, but it is imposed) was passed by Marshal Simon Holovnia. He removed the Vice Marshal from the Sejm's rudders. He allowed Mr Braun to compromise himself and excluded him from the session of the Sejm. He ordered a break, the Sejm bureau gathered. He cited the applicable points of the Regulation (175(5)). He definitely and calmly refused to let Braun proceed his speech.
After a short break in the session, Piotr Gliński spoke, who, on his behalf, but expressed the hope that the full PiS club and the right-wing community had condemned MP Braun, not agreeing to all acts of anti-humanist, anti-religious aggression.
The act of Braun was besides condemned by another PiS MP Grzegorz Puda. But already MP Czarnek wanted to spin a political inba on this and to blame the Presidium of the Sejm and the Marshal Holovnia himself ("for Marshal Witek, specified things were not in the Sejm"). Mr Czarnek besides wanted to postpone the session of the Sejm, but his motion did not pass. Any hold could hold the swearing-in of Donald Tusk and the government, and it would endure cases that no longer suffer.
The parliament has advanced ratings for next weeks – that's for sure.
Dark doesn't like light
The anti-Semitic component is undoubtedly in Braun's action. But you can besides see the anti-enlightenment element. The triumph of the winter solstice feast, the triumph of light over the darkness Braun calls “Satanistic triumphism”. I realize that Mr Braun defends his ignorance and resists any light that could dispel the coherent darkness of his views.
I remember that last year he threw a Christmas tree in the building of the Krakow court into the garbage. At the time, he translated his act “involvement intervention”. He was provoked by baubles on a Christmas tree with symbols of the Constitution, LGBT+, Polish-Ukrainian relationship and free media. Equality, human rights, the regulation of law, relationship between countries is simply not within Mr Braun's head.
It's hard not to laugh, watching him choke with foam, it's hard not to laughter at the stupid things he says.
President Komorowski is most likely just tearing his hair off his head, spitting in his beard, or after Catholic he's throwing ashes at his head that he just warned Dominique Wielowieyska in TokFm before the radicalism of the left, and completely missed the radicalism of the Confederate. He threatened with "ideological greys" on abortion, but he escaped the anti-Semitism of Confederate MPs. This is simply a serious problem of the Polish right and liberals.
I hope that Mr Braun's performance will sober them up a bit, and the prosecution will take care of Mr Braun at least as actively as she had previously dealt with Mrs Scheering-Wielgus, who, during the abortion protests, entered the church and stood in silence in the mediate with a sign – did not attack anyone, did not violate the seriousness of the spiritual ritual, but did not want the Catholic community to be deaf to the assassination of women. Scheering-Wielgus MPs were then taken immunity.
Braun tames anti-Semitism?
The center bent far more to the right in Poland, strives to keep its position, pushing the left to extremist positions – the inverse of the Confederation. Thanks to the fact that he has something on his right and on his left, he can inactive be out of the center. But a puzzle like this doesn't hold balance. It is an apparent manipulation, allowing for well-being, due to the fact that no longer for the actual maintenance of hegemony. Left-wing demands (human rights, public services, strong state, global position, climate reforms) – turn out to be the only real remedy for populism and the general collapse of civilization.
Once again, due to the fact that it is important, this event should be an emergency bell for all liberals who effort to normalize the Confederation, clogging their ears and eyes to anti-Semitism, flatlanding, or hatred for EU flags, and emphasizing the Confederate's "freeness". You can't normalize a Confederate. Anti-Semitism cannot be normalized. The eyes of the full planet are directed at Poland, which someway broke populism, which has mobilised millions of people in defence of democracy, in defence of the regulation of law, in defence of Poland's place among the countries of the European Union. And the planet sees that Poland has overcome populism, but cannot overcome anti-Semitism – as Agnieszka Wiśniewska writes.
Back to the question put in the title. Can we laughter at Mr Braun?
I'm certain the scenes of extinguishing Khanuk candles will become a virale. But laughter is dangerous due to the fact that it tames, kind of normalizes. What's comic doesn't seem so dangerous anymore, and in a moment, it could prove fatally serious. “Our seismic freak” represents respective 1000 voters. Mr Witold Zębaczyński said: this is where the Holocaust happened. Yeah, this is it. Remember. This is happening right now and here.
