One of the precursors of the dissident LGBT+ movement, openly homosexual priest William Hart McNichols painted a painting depicting the “space Christ” in a hoodie with Pope Francis kissing his feet. Both characters are surrounded by homosexual couples. The scandalous painting was designed at the request of another homoagenda promoter in the Church, Father James Martin SJ.
“The washing of the feet” depicts Pope Francis kissing the feet of Jesus Christ, who appears after the resurrection, surrounded by 2 intertwined couples of the same sex. The Risen Christ is dressed simply, wearing a sweatshirt and jeans.
As Martin emphasized, the practice of Pope Francis to wash the feet of women and non-Catholics during the mandate ceremony on large Thursday was a crucial aspect of his pontificate. They are, as Martin wrote, "commonly seen as part of Pope Francis' actions for those who feel at the margins of both society and the Church."
Such practice, added Martin, was continued by Francis through his support for LGBT activism and his yearly support for the Outreach conference.
McNichols' work as a priest was marked by promoting homosexuality, and he himself openly talked about his homosexual train since the 1980s. “God gave me this vocation as a very small boy before I found out I was gay,” McNichols said about his life as a priest. He spent 35 years as a Jesuit before leaving in 2002 and remained a priest in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.
Commenting on his latest image produced for Outreach, McNichols said that "if you asked me to make a painting that would symbolically specify the pontificate of Pope Francis, I would immediately answer with a footwash."
He added that the image represents his desire for the Catholic Church to adopt LGBT ideology: "This image is embedded in space due to the fact that the acceptance of LGBTQ people remains in the present and future – it is something that will come."
The McNichols website features photographs of his wide portfolio, including the infamous 1989 work "The Cross Road of an AIDS-stricken person". Another of his works from that decade was the 1986 “Crucification of AIDS”. In this image Christ is depicted in his panties, and on the cross is written: “AIDS, homosexual, pedal, pervert, sodomite”.
Also in 1989, McNichols wrote a chapter for a book on homosexuality in priesthood and spiritual life that was developed by Sister Jeannine Gramick. The activities of the LGBT fresh Ways Ministry co-founder were officially condemned by Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger in 1999. The nun ignored the ban by conducting her subversive activity.
Although Vatican sharpens have never been formally cancelled, the dissident sister late received support from Pope Francis himself.
