Associations of Catholic medical workers published a protest against the wellness department's guidelines, designed to force hospitals to commit infanticide in the event of an alleged “mental wellness hazard” of their mother. Its authors pointed out that the ministry's instructions deprive children of their constitutional protection and crops of many abuses. Signatories objected to the legal circumvention of the protection of unborn life by the Ministry of wellness led by Isabella Leszczyna.

VIEW OF CATHOLIC MEDICAL ASSOCIATIONS TO THE GUIDELINES OF THE MINISTER FOR THE wellness OF LIBERALISATION OF THE PROCUREMENT OF UNborn CHILDREN UNDER THE PRETEXT OF WOMEN'S HEALTH

Every man's life begins at the minute of conception and is protected from that minute by the highest constitutional law.
Once again, we stand in the defence of unborn children and their mothers and fathers, whose lives and moral values are being attacked, by entering the professional competence of doctors in the Polish government.

Published on 30.08.2024 "Guidelines on existing government on access to abortion procedures" effort to circumvent existing government and repeal the constitutional warrant of the birth of a man conceived in the womb. They conflict with the laws and the Code of Medical Ethics. Hospitals are to be in force, and under the pretext of saving women's intellectual health, the anticipation of having abortions regardless of the state of pregnancy. As a result, a healthy kid may be born, reported, requiring parental care and medical care.
According to the guidelines, doctors who have the right to a clause of conscience and independent decisions in the interests of the wellness and life of the parent and her kid are to interpret the broadly understood wellness of the parent as an abortion condition, besides taking into account the hazard of her intellectual health.

Doctors dealing with pregnant women, liable for the wellness of their parent and their child, who will receive a certificate issued by a psychiatrist doctor after a single, possibly distant visit, are to be subject to a threat of regulation of access to abortion procedures without the anticipation of consulting another doctor and consilium. However, a woman’s individual wellness situation may even impose an work on him or her.
In 2023, 423 abortions were performed on the basis of “mental wellness conditions”, while in 2020 there were only 21 abortions. From the information available in the public space, it appears that the reason for abortion was frequently the mother's "adaptational disorder" and thus intellectual conditions encountered in the life of all person, besides occurring in the physiological course of pregnancy. The diagnosis of a psychiatrist's doctor that pregnancy poses a hazard to the intellectual wellness of the parent should be the basis for starting therapy to improve her intellectual state. If you have an abortion, it's going to make it worse. technological studies indicate an increased incidence of suicides in these women.

The ministerial guidelines must not alter the laws or provisions of the Medical Ethics Code. They are not prepared by technological societies, so they cannot interfere with medical procedures. They constitute unauthorised interference of administrative authorities in specified proceedings.
We support the opinion of the president of the Chief Medical Chamber Dr. Łukasz Jankowski: “The issue by politicians of any recommendations on medical procedures is not only a breach of competence but a threat to the independency of therapeutic decisions. In any case, it is the doctor who is liable for the patient, who is to follow current medical knowledge, to act in accordance with his own conscience, following the code of medical ethics.”

The decision to defend the patient's wellness and life and her kid is always made by a doctor, not an official. If a woman's wellness deteriorates as a consequence of an abortion, the doctor, not the official, will be liable for the condition and will bear criminal responsibility.

It is confirmed that the authorities organise abortions upon request by allowing the Abotak clinic to act in which women will be able to make unlawful pharmacological abortions without giving a cause. The abortion Dream Team, the founder of the clinic, perversely assures that it will act legally. The protection of the child's life by a doctor cannot be called coercion to proceed unwanted pregnancy.

We request that the Minister of wellness retreat the announced guidelines promoting the killing of children practically until the end of the pregnancy period, and thus besides those capable of surviving outside the womb, based on the ruling of a single doctor, in addition without the anticipation of verifying his diagnosis. This is an effort to force abortion upon request by doctors and midwives under the pretext of protecting women's intellectual health. Each doctor has the freedom to act in accordance with current medical cognition and his own conscience, which is regulated by Article 4 of the Medical Ethics Code and Article 39 of the Doctor and Dentist Act. It is unacceptable to effort to interfere politicians with the rules of the profession of doctor and his professional ethics. We do not agree with guidelines that force doctors who are called to save lives to kill unborn children in hospitals and hospitals who refuse to participate in these inhuman procedures are at hazard of legal consequences, very advanced fines or termination of a contract with the National wellness Fund!

We do not agree to improve the law with guidelines, the announcement of threats against doctors who care about the freedom of their consciences and the usage of economical blackmail against hospitals.
