Confederate press conference attended by Members Bartłomiej Pejo and Krzysztof Szymański, 16 October 2024.

Bartholomew Pejo:
Today about censorship on the Internet.
This could be expected from the governments of the current coalition, the governments of Donald Tusk. Governments that request to be called a police state – as we have examples in fresh months.

Unfortunately, everything indicates that censorship on the Internet, which is planned by Donald Tusk's government, will take place.

As Confederate Members, we are fighting this censorship to the last strength. Today, the second reading of the project, among others print 661, which is talking about censorship, which can be imposed by the ABW. This project, This bill will give full possibilities to block content on the Internet, which will be assessed by the ABW negatively and note(!) – this is 1 of the most crucial matters – without a court decision!

So the head of the ABW will be able to block, without the decision of the court and, in principle, alone, content that the interior safety Agency will not like. Your rights can only be asserted after you appeal to court.

This is unacceptable. This is primarily an attack on freedom of speech, on freedom of speech on the Internet. We argue this as a free, conservative, Confederate environment, but on behalf of all Poles, net users, people who want to express their opinion frequently criticizing the current authorities.

We had a fresh case, during the flood, a 22-year-old made a critical entry about the flood situation, emergency services, Donald Tusk's services. And what happened? He was arrested and interrogated at the police station.

This can't happen. The services must not have access to our communicators and should not censor the content we want to convey, as free Poles, our neighbours, colleagues, fellow citizens.

Additionally, this the task introduces allowances for the ABW that will be able to enter and require hosting service providers' premises.

What's more, if Homeland safety demands it, even the deleted content will should be delivered to ABW by hosting service providers.
