Cejrowski: Ukrainians had their “March of Independence” in Warsaw, Poles were banned

In the Radio Wnet broadcast, “Studio chaotic West” author and traveller Wojciech Cejrowski argued with editor Krzysztof Skowronski about Polish-Ukrainian relations and discrimination which they will experience in his assessment of Polish patriotic environments compared to the situation of immigrants from outside our east border.

The exchange of views on Ukraine took place in connection with the thread of the ban issued by the president of Warsaw on the yearly demonstration of Polish patriotism.

– The Millionth March was not a strictly patriotic march linked to the independency March. The Ukrainian march, from their point of view, in their intention was the march of independence, connected with the feast of independence, where they manifest independently of their organization preferences. And that's why it can be compared to the March of Independence – reposted Cejrowski.

– One can compare, but it is not – show that here the banners organized, and here Poles...

– And why can't you object to who forbids me? – the guest of Radio Wnet objected.

– It's not opposing. The chief of the station was inactive opposed.

– But I'm pissed that in my country the Ukrainians are demonstrating their independence.

– But if you're in a free country, anyone can show due to the fact that there's an amendment to the Constitution that everyone has freedom of assembly, and so besides Ukrainians, and Haitians...

– Citizen, only citizen, not illegal arrival – Wojciech Cejrowski disagreed.

The interviewers continued to arrive at an analogy with the Paris demonstrations of support for “Solidarity” or shelter given to our ancestors by England and France during the time of the partitions.

Finally, the guest of the program stated: – I can treat Ukraine as an enemy of the Republic.
