Foundation founded mines by the late Fr. Tadeusz Isakowicz-Zaleski The tireless advocate of fact about the genocide in the Borderlands made by the CNS-UPA and another Ukrainian nationalist organizations is at hazard of bankruptcy.
We read the appeal of members of the Foundation and the Management Board:
We address you at an highly hard time, with the hope of working together and supporting you. home of Social Assistance Hostel Radwanowice, this is where it all started. In 1987, Fr Tadeusz Isakowicz-Zaleski brought respective people with intellectual disabilities to Radwanowice, gave them a home and shelter, and lived with them. This is the foundation of our Foundation.
Among our subjects there are inactive those who remember these beginnings, and the Hostel has grown to the largest of all our units over the years, leads 3 houses of permanent residence giving home to 83 people with disabilities, and since 2022 there is besides the construction of the 4th home - "Podolski" in the area of the Hostel, as the request is inactive huge.
At the beginning of this year we were shocked by the news of the death of our co-founder and President. His departure was a immense blow to the full community of our Foundation, but we put a large deal of strength and heart to keep the Foundation going. We did not anticipate to face specified a large problem in a short time, and the existence of a shelter would be threatened. The situation in which our Hostel for Disabled Albert Foundation is located is critical – like many another Social Assistance Houses in Poland, we stand on the brink of closure due to missing funds. We take care of people who have no 1 else and do not want them to lose their only safe haven.
We believe that the top work of Fr Tadeusz Isakowicz-Zaleski should proceed and make for the benefit of those who request it most. For a long time, we have been seeing a dramatic decline in government subsidies, making our financial situation worse all month. To illustrate the scale of the problem – in December we received PLN 4,360 a period per inhabitant, while present this amount fell to PLN 3800. These are drastic cuts that are barely adequate to cover basic surviving costs, specified as food and bills.
This crisis is not only about our shelter – in all of Poland more than 3000 people may lose their homes if the situation does not change. We are aware that you receive quite a few requests for aid all day, but we hope that you will see how crucial the stakes are. With all our hearts, we ask you to aid us publicize our situation and support the ongoing collection.
We request to rise about PLN 350,000 to survive. Without that amount, our business will become impossible. all form of support, even the slightest release of this appeal, is of large importance to us. We believe that together we can save this place and guarantee a unchangeable future for its people. We will be grateful for any form of aid – whether that's a good word, financial support or aid with the collection sound system. We are ready to answer any questions and we stay at your disposal.
